ALLENDE, NL – This town is recognized as the premier transportation hub of northern Mexico; it is said to be the birthplace of the founders of the largest companies based in the northeast. Official data for this municipality of just over 35,000 inhabitants ranks trucking as the third most important economic activity in the state.
In this context, Difrenosa invited carriers from the Allende region to hold the first national edition of “Freightliner on Track by Difrenosa” , where various technologies and components of the Freightliner line were showcased to deepen knowledge and utilization of the technologies .
The event also served to present the 5th Generation Cascadia to customers and prospects in Allende, “which not only represents an advancement of the vehicle, but also incorporates the fifth generation of engines and transmissions. Another noteworthy element is that the launches of this type of technology in Mexico are done in tandem with international markets,” explained Jaime Tamez Garza, CEO & General Director of Difrenosa.
While Difrenosa had already delivered the new 5th Gen Cascadia to some of its customers, the event also allowed them to deliver the newest member of the Freightliner family to carriers in the region. “It’s worth noting that in Mexico, we’re now receiving technological advancements at the same time they’re launched globally, just like in mature markets,” Jaime Tamez told his customers.
Among the companies that received the new Cascadia were Fletes Salazar , Auto Express Segovia and Flexcoah , the latter from the Saltillo area, the region that Difrenosa has also served since 2024.
During “Freightliner on Track by Difrenosa,” Claudio de la Peña, Customer Face Director of Daimler Truck Mexico , was present and took the opportunity to remind carriers of Freightliner’s national presence and, consequently, its after-sales support, key elements to back up their investments.
Meanwhile, Carlos García, general director of Daimler Truck Financial Service Mexico , explained to the carriers that Freightliner’s financial arm is an alternative to obtain a better product with the support of different financing products; they also have an insurance scheme to meet all the needs of their customers.
Among the transporters present at this event convened by Difrenosa were the members of Tracto Clásicos de Nuevo León , who have undertaken the care of classic tractor-trailers as a way to promote recognition of this activity and all those who participate in it.
ACCELERATION WITH A BETTER PERSPECTIVE
While 2025 was one of the most complex cycles for the trucking industry, both for its suppliers and service providers, 2026 offers a better outlook , and this is more than just wishful thinking; it is supported by the numbers.
This year, the North American market is estimated to reach a volume of 430,000 units, representing a 9% recovery compared to 2025 levels and reversing two periods of constant decline, explained Jaime Tamez Garza. In the case of Mexico, a 4% market recovery is projected.

“In Mexico, if there’s one thing we businesspeople in the industry have, it’s learned to be resilient, and this type of event, bringing us together and communicating as suppliers and you as users, helps us to get the best out of each other,” he added.
