PESQUERÍA, NL. – Trucking companies serving the North American market require a high level of efficiency, maximum productivity, and compliance with global service standards. Grupo HG Transportaciones ( number 9 in the Top 100 Trucking Companies® ) is a key player in trade within the USMCA region and is therefore focused on achieving these objectives.
As part of Grupo HG Transportaciones’ commitment to maximizing efficiency in its trucking operations while ensuring safer operations and improved working conditions for drivers, the company has added a new batch of Freightliner Cascadia 5th Generation trucks, making it one of the first companies in the region to incorporate them into its fleet. This strengthens its commercial alliance with Difrenosa.
“These units generate added value for us in the function we are performing, with the benefits of productivity, safety and commitment to the environment from the reduction of emissions from their powertrain,” explained Gilberto Ochoa, general director of Operations of Grupo HG Transportaciones.
These units, which are being added to the group’s fleet, will be used for the operations of RL Transportaciones , which focuses on logistics within the country, to serve routes in regions such as Puebla, Bajío, Tlaxcala, Mexico City and Toluca, Ochoa explained.
Ana Sofía Tamez, Strategic Director of Difrenosa, during a visit to the HG Transportaciones facilities in Dulces Nombres, and after a tour of Difrenosa’s offices and workshops, emphasized, “These spaces can strengthen us as strategic allies , allowing us to understand your needs, for you to get to know the team, the facilities, the solutions, the support, and to create a stronger team. We are here for this purpose and to strengthen the relationship.”
The values that stand out in the Cascadia 5th Generation, such as the incorporation of updated Detroit Assurance system technology, the efficient powertrain with the DD13 engine and DD12 transmission, as well as the Freightliner Enlace 3.0 technology platform, align with the objectives that Grupo HG Transportaciones pursues to achieve greater efficiencies and productivity in its assets, and compliance with customers.
“We maintain that confidence with the Freightliner line and the range of services and components that the 5th Generation Cascadia offers, which is one of the elements that led us to make this investment, and of course, the relationship we have established and reinforced with Difrenosa ,” said Gilberto Ochoa.
Edgar Díaz, commercial director of Grupo Difrenosa, has the support of Grupo Tracto , a company with a 50-year history focused on providing solutions to the trucking market, and which maintains a strong presence through long-term relationships such as the one established with Grupo HG Transportaciones.
The presentation with executives from HG Transportaciones at their new facilities in Dulces Nombres was key in identifying areas of opportunity to achieve greater efficiencies with the Freightliner tractor-trailer fleet, and to be able to deepen the use of all the tools that Difrenosa currently has available, for which the management team headed by Juan Esteban Corzo, Director of Operations of Difrenosa, proposed an agenda to be developed.
Enrique Garza, Director of After-Sales at Difrenosa, explains that the solutions in Difrenosa’s portfolio leverage all the technical capabilities of the support area, as well as the infrastructure they have developed to increase parts availability. Through solutions like Inhouse Parts and Inhouse Service , they can support customer needs, which are also innovations implemented by Difrenosa.
Currently, thanks to the infrastructure developed by Difrenosa, there is an inventory of over 24,000 part numbers in its warehouses, representing an investment of over 300 million pesos. In addition, there are more than 200 service bays and nearly 200 specialized technicians to meet the needs of customers in the region, Edgar Díaz emphasized.
