The National Council of Executives in Logistics and Supply Chain (ConaLog) announced on Tuesday that María Teresa Renán will be its president for the 2026-2027 period.

Previously, Renán had served as vice president of the association. Meanwhile, Hugo Ruiz , who is being relieved of his duties, will now become an advisor, thus maintaining his presence at ConaLog .

The appointment was made during the organization’s General Assembly, where nine of the 14 members of the Council were also renewed and ratified, and the new Board of Directors was defined . Among the changes is that Conalog will now have only one vice-presidency, instead of the two it had until recently.

35 years of experience

María Teresa Renán has over three decades of experience in the sector. Her career includes, in part, management positions at companies such as Nestlé, Jugos del Valle, Sabritas, PepsiCo Alimentos México, and Grupo Nadro.

Since 2018, she has been part of ConaLog , where her role as vice president focused on initiatives related to sustainable logistics, diversity, and inclusion . Among other distinctions, she has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women in Transportation and Logistics T21 2026 .

For the challenge ahead, Renán indicated that he will seek to strengthen the logistics community, promote the exchange of knowledge, develop talent, and expand collaboration with other industry players.

“I deeply believe in the power of sharing knowledge, building relationships, developing talent, and collaborating to transform our industry,” he said.

The new president also highlighted the importance of positioning logistics as a strategic enabler of competitiveness and economic development in Mexico , as well as promoting a more humane, inclusive activity committed to the environment.

For his part, Hugo Ruiz explained that he decided not to seek re-election and to continue participating from the Council, with the aim of contributing to the growth of the association and strengthening collaboration within the sector.

The Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term will consist of Javier Serrano as vice president, Leonardo Mendoza as treasurer, and Héctor Romero as secretary, the latter having been reappointed to his position. The association will also retain its four emeritus board members.
