The Guadalajara International Airport strengthened its land connectivity and mobility options for the more than 18 million passengers who pass through the terminal annually, with the start of operations of the new Line 5 Macro Airport .
This 100% electric public transportation system began operating on June 4th and connects the airport with various strategic points in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, including Expo Guadalajara, Agua Azul Park and Guadalajara Stadium.
In addition, it will have 41 electric units and will also connect with municipalities such as Guadalajara, Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco and El Salto , strengthening the integration of the airport with the city and expanding the transportation alternatives for passengers, tourists and the airport community.

In addition, as part of the airport’s new ground connectivity alternatives, the Intercity Transportation Yard for the transportation companies Uber, InDrive and DiDi also came into service , carried out in a collaboration between the federal and Jalisco governments.
To access this service, passengers who have previously booked a ride through these apps will be transported, free of charge, from the airport terminal to the Patio . The boarding point is located next to the international departures area and is clearly marked with information kiosks throughout the airport to help passengers find their way. The journey will take approximately eight to eleven minutes.
The units designated for this transfer have a capacity for 40 passengers , are electric and have universal accessibility, ramps, luggage space and air conditioning, prioritizing a more comfortable and efficient experience for users.
The Intercity Bus Terminal will operate 24 hours a day and will be accompanied by public safety officers, strengthening the conditions of service and security for passengers.
“For Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) , the passenger experience is a priority. The Guadalajara International Airport receives a diverse range of passengers daily, so having more and better ground transportation options, adapted to various needs, strengthens the accessibility of this airport, which maintains sustained growth. Furthermore, these types of projects create better conditions to support the airport’s future development, including the construction of Terminal 2, a key project to meet the growing passenger demand in the region,” stated Raúl Revuelta Musalem, CEO of GAP, the airport’s concessionaire.
Currently, users have various ground transportation options, including 700 authorized taxis in operation , a shuttle service connecting to strategic points in the city, public transportation routes, short and long stay parking with more than six thousand spaces, as well as these new connectivity solutions that strengthen accessibility to the airport.
