GUADALAJARA, JAL.- The Association of Industrial Parks of the State of Jalisco (APIEJ) announced that in the next two years it will promote initiatives that will allow the continued growth of the industrial real estate sector.
Upon assuming the presidency of the organization, Roberto Álvarez said that the state has a historic opportunity to position itself as one of the great industrial hubs of North America .
“Artificial intelligence, semiconductors, data centers, electronics, and advanced manufacturing are transforming investment decisions, and Jalisco has a lot to offer in terms of competition: talent, universities, infrastructure, entrepreneurs, and above all, an industrial and technological ecosystem built over decades,” he emphasized.
In that regard, he reported that he will promote initiatives such as integration, that is, bringing all APIEJ members closer to the industrial system, developers, suppliers, universities, business organizations, municipalities and government.
He also noted that he will strengthen industrial intelligence and attract investment through an inventory, as well as the creation of a digital platform to provide information on the sector’s options that exist in Jalisco.

Furthermore, he will work to raise the standards of industrial parks . “Competing today means being more than just land and buildings; it means infrastructure, water, security, technology, and sustainability,” he noted.
“Our goal is clear: that the industrial parks of Jalisco can compete with the best in the world,” he emphasized.
Roberto Álvarez added that they will strengthen their relationship with municipal authorities , “since a large part of our competitiveness is defined by permits, services, infrastructure and investment certainty.”
“These are our four pillars, but behind them lies a larger vision. APIEJ is not just a faction representing industrial parks; we must become a leading institution for the industrial development of Jalisco,” he stated.
As of the fourth quarter of 2025, the industrial market in Jalisco APIEJ recorded a gross absorption of 270,160 square meters (m2), a net absorption of 250,573 m2, and an availability of 364,199 m2.
