Cargo Rechy , the freight and customs broker, is preparing to continue its expansion, but now in the maritime sector, as it will begin offering services from the port of Lázaro Cárdenas, with services dedicated to the needs of its clients.
Customs agent Eva Paola Rechy Muñoz says Lázaro Cárdenas was chosen for several reasons, including the congestion at other ports like Manzanillo.
“When we sat down and looked at what our clients needed and what we wanted and were looking for, we also evaluated Ensenada and Salina Cruz for the Isthmus Corridor. Well, considering development and infrastructure and doing the same thing we did at the border and airport customs to bring it to a port, we believe Lázaro Cárdenas is the best option,” he explains.
From this new location, they would be handling products such as machinery and spare parts, and as it develops, they will focus on other sectors. They expect this service to begin this month , although it will depend on the corresponding authorizations.
Cargo Rechy is currently located at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), as well as in Nuevo Laredo.
The company, which started in 2004 and provides logistics and customs services, offers “tailor-made” cargo services, including live animals for breeding or sale, for research, as well as pets, in addition to perishables, e-commerce , flowers, textiles, and dangerous goods, to name a few.
“Due to this ultra-specialization, one range that continues to grow for us is live animals, in any of the three sublines, whether for sale, for animal shelters, or for pets. The volume of shipments in that specific range is where we see the greatest growth,” he comments.
