The border city of Tijuana, Baja California, will serve as the setting for an analysis of the current trade situation, primarily with the United States, in addition to generating key alliances and high-level discussions aimed at boosting the logistics competitiveness of a region that connects two economies and opens new routes for the transportation industry, port infrastructure, and customs operations.
The Cali-Baja edition of the Transportation and Logistics Meeting (ETYL) will be held in the northwest of the country for the first time. The meeting will bring together key industry leaders on May 14 and 15 in Tijuana . The meeting will explore the region’s strategic role in foreign trade and logistics collaboration between Mexico and the United States, one of the continent’s most dynamic trade routes.
Based in northwest Mexico, ETYL CALI-BAJA will also offer a key platform for dialogue on sustainable transportation, the electronics and logistics industry, trucking, and more .
The inauguration will be led by authorities such as Captain Manuel Fernando Gutiérrez Gallardo, head of the General Coordination of Ports and Merchant Marine (CGPMM) , Israel Delgado Vallejo, regional vice president of the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) and CEO of Express Service Transport Inc. , among others.
The event, created by T21 in 2003 , has consolidated its national presence with editions in cities such as Mexico City, Querétaro, León, Veracruz, and Puebla. Since 2021, Monterrey has become its permanent home.
The first day’s events will include the panel Modernization of the Port of Ensenada, the Railroad and Beyond , with the participation of leaders such as Admiral Luis Javier Robinson Portillo Villanueva, general director of the National Port System Administration (Asipona) Ensenada , Mateo Cepeda, Senior Manager Sales and Logistics of Cosco Shipping Lines in Mexico and Javier Rodríguez, general manager of Ensenada International Terminal .

Later, the Connecting Borders panel will address customs processes and the importance of specialized logistics services at border crossings, which are key to optimizing time, reducing costs, and making commercial operations more efficient.
Sustainability will also be on display with the Sustainable Transportation panel , featuring figures such as Alicia Zazueta, president of the Mexican Association of Service Station Providers (AMPES) ; Miguel Elizalde, partner at Mobility Sustainable ; and Juan Báez, CEO of Bali Express Services Inc.
The second day features a strategic discussion on automotive logistics , with key companies from the sector participating. The Mexico on the Global Map panel will also address the challenges posed by new tariff policies for international trade and national logistics competitiveness.
