In the last five years, foreign trade in agricultural and agro-industrial products has maintained a positive pace, with exports increasing by an average of 7.8% between 2020 and 2024, while imports increased by an average of 11.2%, according to data from the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) .
In the cumulative period up to November 2024, exports of this type of products totaled 49 thousand 816 million dollars (mdd), while imports totaled 42 thousand 465 million dollars.
In this context, Trasladados Moose , a new member of Zinergia (number 8 in the Top 100 of Autotransporte® ), focuses on the movement of temperature-controlled transport: frozen, cold and fresh, both for national distribution and for foreign trade (impo/expo) with transshipment through the port of Laredo, as well as dedicated schemes for high distribution frequencies.
“The first thing we decided was to create a new company to serve a market that Zinergia did not cover, so we decided to participate in temperature-controlled movements, and these first two months of operation allow us to analyze the opportunity that exists,” Alain Cavazos Cavazos, general manager of Traslados Moose, described in an interview with T21.
One of the main values that Moose Transfers promotes is the specialization of its team, a qualified workforce to meet the quality and service standards demanded by clients who participate in this market.
“In addition to the training of our employees, which is supported by the talent training institute, ICADE, we also have the highest quality infrastructure to guarantee the best services to our clients,” said Gersomm González, Operations Manager of Moose Transfers.
For this start-up phase, Moose has a fleet of five tractor-trailers and is in the process of creating a ratio of two trailers (refrigerated boxes) for each power unit, Alain Cavazos specified.
Although import/export exchange is being carried out both at the Laredo and Colombian border ports, at the national level they are responding to open the routes that clients require, “we are on the Laredo-Monterrey route and from there we can reach the Bajío , although we have attended to the needs of clients to boost their operations,” added González.
Alain Cavazos anticipated that the growth to be achieved in 2025 is being analyzed , but at least the fleet is projected to double to meet new opportunities in the market.
Regarding their presence, although the central base is in Monterrey, they take advantage of being part of Zinergia to have a presence in Nuevo Laredo and Altamira (Tamaulipas), Veracruz (Veracruz), Mexico City and Chihuahua.
