
The transport, mail and storage sector , which is part of the tertiary activities, stood at 105.8 points in June 2025, which meant an increase of 0.3% compared to last May, according to the Global Indicator of Economic Activity (IGAE) , prepared by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) .
On an annual basis, Mexico’s logistics industry also showed positive performance, registering a 2.1% increase in activity, seasonally adjusted, according to the IGAE (Spanish Institute of Statistics and Census).
In the sixth month of the year, the IGAE (National Institute of Statistics and Census), which provides insight into and monitoring of the short-term evolution of the real sector of the economy, grew by 0.2% monthly, while the annual rate increased by 0.9%, according to INEGI.

By component, primary activities , which include agriculture and livestock, decreased 0.1%; while secondary activities , which include manufacturing and construction, also decreased 0.1% monthly.
In turn, tertiary activities , which involve the services sector, grew 0.3% in June 2025 compared to last May.
On an annual basis, primary activities increased by 5%, secondary activities fell by 0.8%, and tertiary activities grew by 1.5%.
The slight rebound achieved last June signals moderate economic expansion in Mexico , despite the economic restructuring brought about by the United States’ protectionist policies.
