Moving a package from point A to point B requires logistics companies to offer a differentiator in their operations, where technology and digitalization translate into added value for customers.
“Today’s buyer comes with specific requirements, costs, or service levels; they are becoming more knowledgeable and demanding in the sector, and for us, a differentiator is the way they experience moving their packages,” highlighted Raymundo Garza, CEO of Envia.com , a platform focused on digital logistics solutions.
In an interview with T21, he explained that while artificial intelligence (AI) will be a more developed tool by 2027 , implementing new technologies is part of their DNA. “We are constantly thinking about how to automate every process and what we can continue to innovate,” he stated.
Unifying logistics operations allows orders to be concentrated in one place and dispatched more efficiently, Garza emphasized when explaining the company’s operating method.
“It’s very important to have the entire ecosystem at our disposal to serve our customers. It’s just a matter of joining, and our platform helps customers automate their logistics and manage their different products,” he emphasized.
Bet on Mexico
Raymundo Garza reported that the company is making an investment of more than 20 million dollars (USD) in Mexico to consolidate its business lines, apply new technologies such as AI and continue its expansion and growth plan, not only in the country but in other nations.
It also seeks to position itself in the Mexican market , which it considers one of the “key players” to offer quality solutions.
“Our locations will streamline logistics. Having these centers in different cities, along with our corporate headquarters (located in Monterrey, Nuevo León), allows us to offer more solutions for our clients. According to the Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO) , e-commerce in Mexico is projected to grow by around 18% annually , and there is still potential for further growth,” he explained.
He noted that so far this year, they have opened a winery in Colombia, as well as in Madrid, and that by the end of 2026 they will be expanding to Germany and Peru , while in 2027 they will expand to South Africa and Australia.
While one of the challenges for the next year will be opening new facilities , as well as a couple of fulfillment centers (facilities designed to pack, prepare and ship orders to end customers) in Brazil, they will also seek to consolidate their current services.
Envia.com has 25,000 connected stores, as well as 150 logistics providers and more than 55 marketplaces . “Having this ecosystem and these stores allows us to open the fulfillment center and store the packaging in a warehouse,” he emphasized.
According to the consulting firm Business Research Insights , the freight transport and logistics market in Mexico is currently valued at $96.2 billion and is estimated to grow to approximately $148 billion by 2035, so the implementation of technologies, more than a trend, has become a factor of competitiveness.
