
Having more cameras , alerts, and data does not necessarily mean having greater control over an operation . When information is scattered across different screens and systems, the challenge becomes different: how to identify what is happening, understand where the risk is, and act before it becomes an incident, as explained by specialists from Samsara Mexico during the “Intelligent Operations” event.
In that context, the company presented new solutions in Mexico that seek to take artificial intelligence (AI) beyond data analysis and use it to automate tasks, anticipate risks, and connect what happens on the road, in yards, and in monitoring centers.
The company showcased tools such as the 360-degree AI Multicamera , aerial view for vehicles, rear collision alert, artificial intelligence agents, the Incident Center , and a Tracking Tag to expand visibility over goods and assets.
The new 360- degree camera integrates front and rear images into a single device to provide a complete view around the unit.
The device is IP67 certified and reinforced to operate in conditions such as dust, water, and heat. The solution was also presented for off-road applications, such as forklifts and other machinery operating in confined spaces.
In addition, there is an aerial view , designed to show the operator from a single screen what is happening around the vehicle, as well as new rear collision alerts that use AI to identify areas with a risk of impact during reversing maneuvers.
Monroy explained that the expansion responds to a need that does not end with tractor-trailer trucks.
“We wanted to increase visibility and provide access to this type of technology for any type of assets and vehicles in our customers’ fleets,” he explained.
He indicated that even minor collisions involving machinery can represent significant costs for companies, hence the solutions are moving towards other equipment present within operations.
The cargo also enters the map
But visibility doesn’t end when the vehicle’s location is known. Samsara seeks to extend it to what travels inside it .
To this end, it presented its Tracking Label , a chip-based solution that allows tracking packages and assets throughout their journey and expands traceability within the supply chain.
“There is the Tracking Label that completes our customers’ entire supply chain to give visibility not only to the boxes, the flats, but also to what they contain, what they transport, and to ensure that it arrives where it needs to go and that it arrives on time,” explained Cristina Sánchez, Solutions Engineering Manager at Samsara.
The technology relies on Samsara’s network of Bluetooth devices to communicate the location of assets without each one requiring its own GPS.
From hundreds of alerts to knowing which one to respond to
Another key focus is on monitoring centers. The company presented its Incident Center , developed to centralize security-related alerts on a single platform and prioritize those requiring attention.
The tool can gather events such as panic button activations, fuel level fluctuations, or GPS signal interference, in addition to operator, vehicle, location, and telematics data. Each operation can configure which events it considers critical, who should be assigned to them, and what actions can be automated.
The solution also has a Mexican component. According to the company, the Incident Center was born out of conversations with clients and needs in the national market , particularly regarding road and property security, and was later expanded to other regions.
One of the cases presented was that of Trayecto , which previously operated its monitoring center with information distributed across different screens and systems.
Following implementation, the company reported a reduction of approximately 57% in the time to begin applying protocols and noted that its recovery rate went from approximately 76% between 2024 and 2025, to 99% in 2025 and 100% so far in 2026 .
The challenge still lies in adoption. Julia Monroy acknowledged that in Mexico there are still companies that view technology as an expense rather than an investment, so part of the work will be demonstrating the return that automation and more efficient operations can generate.
Thus, the next step for operations does not seem to be solely about generating more data , but about ensuring that all that information allows us to know, at the precise moment, what is happening and what to do about it .
