NUEVO LAREDO, TAMPS.- A few minutes before 5 p.m. local time, the MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo grandstand and the sponsor stands near the main stage were packed. Shouts, slogans, signs with messages for their operators, noisemakers and pom-poms were present.
In its fifth edition in Nuevo Laredo and with 11 events in conjunction with other venues such as Tijuana (Baja California) and Allende (Nuevo León), MT Mexico confirmed its objective of being an initiative to recognize the important work carried out by operators, but also with the desire to engage society in this activity.
On this occasion, 114 operators took to the starting grid in Nuevo Laredo, participating in the Sleeper Cab, Day Cab and Cab Over categories. During two days of qualifying competition, they competed to be “The Boss” of the 5th edition of MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo.
“We must congratulate the winners and the participants for all the adrenaline they generated for us,” said Eduardo Lozano, vice president of the Central de Servicios de Carga de Nuevo Laredo (CenSeCar), in a message at the awards ceremony.
The CenSeCar of Nuevo Laredo, together with the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) and the CenSeCar of Nuevo León , are the presenters of the event, which had the support of the municipality of Nuevo Laredo.
Eduardo Lozano took the opportunity to invite all those interested in the 2025 edition , as well as to recognize the work of the organizers, Posdata MX.
Hector Hinojosa, Canacar delegate in Nuevo Laredo, acknowledged the work of all the participants, organizers and sponsors who made it possible to hold the fifth edition of MT Mexico in the Nuevo Laredo area.

Well-deserved recognition
As part of the celebration of MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo, the opportunity was taken to recognize two businessmen from the region who passed away this year.
The first of the posthumous awards was for Felipe Gaytán Palomo, former CEO of Grupo STI, who passed away last June.
Felipe Gaytán was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the MT model , a task that led to the creation of a committee that was formed to make it possible to hold the first edition of this competition in December 2020.
The other recognized character was Jesús Quiroga, who founded Quiroga Trucking , and who also passed away in 2024.
