In the trailer market, it seems that the space for innovation is limited, a condition that Fruehauf has challenged, and proof of this is that it continues to offer developments in its products, which, according to its directors, is the result of listening to customers and translating it into applied engineering in its equipment .
During the launch of its Dry Van 3.0 and Multimodal Platform 2.0 , a product invented by Fruehauf, Miguel Martínez, the company’s CEO, stated that carriers need more durable, safe, and efficient equipment that allows them to maximize the productivity of their operations.

From the executive’s perspective, the Generation 3.0 gearbox and the 2.0 platform “are the natural evolution of equipment that has demonstrated its performance on the road and that today incorporates improvements focused on providing greater durability, operational efficiency, safety and profitability for those who operate them ,” Martínez emphasized.
Based on what was described to its customers, the Generation 3.0 box is inspired by and built on the concept of being designed to last, evolved to produce . Meanwhile, the 2.0 platform was created to withstand any load, built to last .

For Rodrigo Arcos, commercial director of Fruehauf, the 3.0 box is not the result of chance, but of active listening and a healthy obsession with continuous improvement. “Today we are presenting the new 3.0 box and the new 2.0 intermodal platform. I want to be clear, these launches are not product updates, they are a new expression of Fruehauf’s DNA.”
Among the objectives of the 3.0 gearbox are to increase durability, decrease workshop time, increase resistance and reduce the weight of the semi-trailer .
Among these advantages is the incorporation of an impact head assembled with Huck rivets for faster interventions. It also features composite panels, posts reinforced with larger diameter rivets, and extruded corner pieces that improve appearance and durability.
Enhanced safety is achieved through a one-piece fifth wheel coupler, designed to withstand frontal loads and protect the unit. This product comes with a five-year warranty.
Meanwhile, the multimodal platform 2.0 has the versatility to transport a 40-foot container, two 20-foot containers, or a 20-foot central container . It has a load capacity of up to 34 tons .
“Innovation only has value when it solves real problems; that is why our main source of development continues to be the voice of our customers,” Rodrigo Arcos stated.
Fruehauf’s sales director emphasized that customer drive is fundamental to staying on the path of innovation. ” These demands don’t bother us; on the contrary, they inspire us, because if Fruehauf has come this far, it’s thanks to the trust they have placed in all of us for decades,” Arcos stressed.
As part of the product presentation, symbolic deliveries were made to various clients such as Zinergia , Transportistas Unidos de Morelos (TUMSA) , Transportes Monroy Schiavon (TMS) , En-Trega and Fultra Rent .
