In order to strengthen its digital and regional focus, DHL Global Forwarding , the air and ocean freight division of the DHL Group, announced that Erik Meade , current CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Mexico, will be in charge of the Latin America region starting December 1, 2025.

The company also announced a series of structural adjustments to its global board of directors. Specifically, it announced the appointment of Tim Robertson , current CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Americas, as the new Executive Vice President of Accelerated Digitalization. Additionally, Michael Young , currently CEO of DHL Global Forwarding USA, will lead the North American region. These changes will also take effect on December 1.

“The appointment of Tim Robertson, a seasoned executive with deep expertise in strategic management, operations, information technology, and business process optimization, represents a significant step forward. Michael Young brings over 30 years of leadership experience in global markets, with a strong track record of customer engagement and business strategy. Erik Meade has demonstrated exceptional leadership in Latin America, combining an entrepreneurial approach with operational excellence and a deep understanding of customer needs in rapidly growing markets within this important region,” said Oscar de Bok, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight.

Among the firm’s new developments is the creation of a new structure called Accelerated Digitalization , which aims to expand the company’s digital capabilities through artificial intelligence-based solutions. Its priorities include transforming service centers for administrative operations and developing a digital concept focused on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“By redoubling our efforts in digitization and assigning a dedicated focus at the board level for North and Latin America, we seek to improve our execution and meet our growth ambitions,” Oscar de Bok emphasized.

With these appointments, the company is committed to digitalization, which, in addition to strengthening its position in the global logistics market, seeks to prepare it to face the challenges of the future with a technological and innovative vision.
