In a state like Nuevo León, where industry never stops, exports set the economic pace, and thousands of vehicles travel the highways daily to move national production, understanding road transport is not a luxury, it is a necessity .
The story of the current Secretary General of the Government of the State of Nuevo León, Miguel Ángel Flores Serna, was forged amidst highways, routes, and logistics. Today, that business experience translates into strategic decisions to strengthen investment, security, and the state’s industrial leadership .
“It is very important for the government and private sector to work hand in hand, because when the productive and public sectors move in the same direction, great things happen,” he says.

For Flores Serna, transporters are not mere spectators of development, but direct protagonists of the national economy. “ Transporters are the engine that drives Mexico’s economy , and it is very important to be highly coordinated and in communication,” he points out.
Mike Flores, as he is known in Nuevo León, has a long and distinguished career in the trucking industry. The origins of this legacy trace back to his grandfather , Florencio Flores Aguirre , who laid the foundation for a company that became a leader in the sector. Later, his father , Miguel Ángel Flores Garza , continued and expanded this vision, establishing a second generation characterized by growth, modernization, and logistical strength.
In an environment where few family businesses manage to transcend time, the story of the Flores family represents discipline, adaptability, and strategic leadership.

However, his story is not limited to continuing a legacy. Miguel Ángel Flores Serna decided to build his own. From a young age, he actively participated in the business’s operations and later launched his own projects , while also assuming strategic responsibilities in areas such as finance, administration, and corporate growth.
That combination of operational knowledge and financial vision gave him an uncommon profile: he understands both the road and the decision-making process.
“My training is linked to and driven by my family roots in the trucking industry. While I had the opportunity to participate in the family business from an early age, I also forged my own path,” he explains.
In an industry where margins are defined by efficiency, fuel, delivery times, maintenance, and safety , learning from experience fosters a unique analytical capacity. Mike Flores understands the costs of a stopped route, the impact of an unsafe road, and the value of efficient logistics in attracting investment.
