The trucking industry ‘s agenda continues to be defined by issues such as road safety, environmental impact, and efficiency in logistics operations . In this context, the National Association of Private Transportation (ANTP) re-elected Leonardo Gómez as executive president and Alex Theissen as president of the Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term.
According to Gómez himself, the decision seeks to provide solidity and continuity to the programs that the organization promotes on these fronts .
The endorsement aims to consolidate an agenda that is already underway and that is becoming more relevant today given the changes in logistics operations , cost pressures, and the evolution of consumption patterns, which not only involve ANTP members but all actors in the logistics sector, Gómez emphasized.
The agenda that will accompany this new period maintains the aforementioned axes as its basis, with the objective of strengthening coordination within the sector and making progress on issues that directly impact operations.
In this area, the ANTP will seek to maintain integration among the different elements that make up mobility , under an approach that considers both freight transport operations and their interaction with the environment. Among the priority issues for this period are distribution and last-mile delivery , as well as promoting multimodal transport , the latter with the aim of advancing the measurement and reduction of environmental impact, explained the organization’s executive president.
In terms of safety , the association will continue accident prevention and awareness programs within companies , both in driving and in administrative areas related to operations.
“For ANTP, having a solid foundation in the programs that are being developed is fundamental, considering environmental protection, road safety, infrastructure, mobility, and logistical efficiency,” Gómez said.
With this endorsement, the ANTP enters a new stage in which, in addition to maintaining its lines of work, it positions itself on a trajectory of more than 30 years in the development of freight transport in Mexico.
Throughout this time, the association has focused its efforts on strengthening the safety, competitiveness and sustainability of the sector, through the representation of its members and the promotion of best practices in operation.
