The IGAE has fluctuated throughout the year, reflecting a constant change in Mexican economic activity, as in August 2025 it registered a monthly growth of 0.6%, falling in September 0.6% on a monthly basis, which meant its biggest decline so far this year.
The IGAE allows us to understand and monitor the evolution of the real sector of the economy in the short term, so its measurement is key for economic decision-making.
