When a tractor-trailer crosses the yard threshold, the entire operation is activated: maintenance, supervision, box verification, approvals; until recently, many of these tasks were handled with physical routes and impractical processes. For Cristina Sánchez, Pre-Sales Engineering Manager at Samsara , this is no longer sustainable.
“We know what time a unit is going to arrive and if it’s due for maintenance. As soon as it arrives, the system sends the alert. There’s no need to write to anyone, no need to triangulate,” Sánchez explained.
With that logic in mind , Connected Workflows was born , a solution integrated with the Samsara platform that digitizes operational processes in the yard, from authorizations to task assignments, and centralizes all communication in a single system. This reduces errors and improves traceability .
“If the operator needs to hook up a specific box, they can take a photo from the app , submit it for approval, and receive an immediate response without leaving the tractor,” Sánchez said.
The tool goes beyond a digital form. In an interview with T21, Sánchez explained that this feature allows for automatic form assignment, approval management, and the generation of contextual alerts .
Furthermore, data management and protection occurs within the platform, under corporate control.
Recently launched in Mexico, the company’s tool aims to streamline the daily operations of logistics warehouse managers by eliminating unnecessary steps and reducing response times, Sánchez emphasized.
