To say that technology is advancing by leaps and bounds is no exaggeration ; this is the daily experience that Tecnomotum experiences with ANIA, the Artificial Intelligence Neural Agent developed to interpret data, act, and make decisions, protecting the transportation industry, not only its assets but also its operators.
At the last National Forum on Freight Transport , Pedro Rivera, CEO of Tecnomotum , sowed the reasoning for the urgency of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) personally and of course in organizations, an idea supported by Luis Campos, Global Manager for Logistics at Grupo Bimbo , who asserted that “we cannot continue managing fleets without technology.”
Rivera described to the audience convened by the National Association of Private Transportation (ANTP) , the process by which Tecnomotum created a digital twin that allows replicating what operators do on the road , and today with more than two thousand clients in the market, they increasingly provide ANIA with intelligence maps to have the capacity to react.
ANIA’s engine completely transforms alert management in transportation. Instead of overwhelming teams with hundreds or thousands of daily notifications, ANIA uses AI to automatically filter out those that don’t pose a real risk . Thanks to its ability to generate meta-alerts, it prioritizes only the most critical events, allowing monitoring centers to focus on what really matters.
“What a monitoring center can do in six to 20 minutes, ANIA does in 1.6 seconds,” Pedro Rivera emphasized, even going so far as to make decisions such as shutting down the engine if the action is deemed necessary.
Within the framework of the panel developed through a video, Miguel Gómez Tapia, president of Grupo Fletes México , described the results achieved with ANIA, where through the use of Enlace Freightliner 3.0 , outstanding results were achieved such as a 99.8% effectiveness against attempted theft of units .

One factor Miguel Gómez highlighted was Tecnomotum’s adaptability to the specific transportation needs in Mexico.
“You’re more open to addressing those needs by technologically doing what you need to do in development to help with those challenges; other foreign tools are likely to be hesitant or slow to do so,” he emphasized.
ANIA focuses on ensuring that all information shared through telemetry and the cameras installed in the units can be filtered, allowing monitoring centers to focus on corrective actions to prevent accidents or thefts.
Pedro Rivera emphasized that the most advanced AI models can make better use of all the data generated by telematics and cameras, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors in fleet management .
At the same time, the executive called on the audience not yet immersed in the use of technology and AI to test its potential. This will lead to the next step: setting an indicator for their use of the technology and the percentage by which they are improving their company’s processes or making work more efficient through the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Currently, Tecnomotum has more than 120 engineers dedicated to developing technological solutions for the Mexican trucking industry, addressing the real needs faced by fleets on the road.
Artificial Intelligence , a path of no return
In an era where trucking increasingly requires greater efficiency , communication, and traceability, as well as a more precise service approach, AI is moving from the extraordinary to the necessary.
This is how Tecnomotum approaches the use of Artificial Intelligence and development in the ANIA solution, which evolves to meet the current and future needs of transporters .
Pedro Rivera stated that ANIA is the evolution of AI aimed at promoting efficiency in monitoring centers , in the way fleets operate, in generating greater added value to transportation and in having greater profitability of assets, in addition to talking about asset security, where through its use accidents can be reduced, thefts prevented and other solutions.
“Imagine being able to better manage fuel in a fleet. Since fuel is the main operating cost, having control results in greater profitability,” he emphasized.
The executive even emphasized that more applications can be addressed that have not been addressed today and that are critical to daily activities within the trucking industry and where value can be generated.
“How far can we go?” depends a lot on the customers and how we integrate it with other systems; that will also depend on each fleet.
Solutions for Mexican roads
Tecnomotum ‘s capacity for innovation translates into a swift and effective response for a portfolio of more than two thousand T1 and T2 transport companies, with tangible results such as the execution of more than 500,000 engine shutdowns per year , which protect the operator and the unit in critical situations.
“In the area of technology processing, we have a huge competitive advantage because we have been operating in the Mexican market for 20 years. We have a wealth of data from our customers that allows us to transform it into more effective solutions, such as engine shutdowns, of which we detonate more than 500,000 each year,” Pedro Rivera emphasized.
The executive’s assertion was supported by the testimony of a client, Miguel Gómez, highlighting the capabilities of Tecnomotum, a national provider that stands out for the solutions it offers and implements in the Mexican market.
“One of our advantages is the Artificial Intelligence layer, where cloud processing is done, and what we can do and how we can act on the vehicle. Today, we have 10 or 12 different ways to trigger an engine shutdown and also how to interact with the operator,” Rivera said.
Based on the above, all this data is translated into daily work at the monitoring centers, where ANIA’s work is demonstrated through efficient and more accurate solutions .
Tecnomotum ‘s strategic alliance with Freightliner equips the new generations of Cascadia tractors and M2 Plus trucks that are factory-equipped with Freightliner Link 3.0.
