Regulations, regulatory changes and the constant search for efficiency are some of the challenges facing the freight transport sector, and Transporte Mumor decided not to be left behind in taking on the challenge and joining the ” Regulatory Self-Compliance” scheme promoted by the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) , in conjunction with the National Association of Private Transport (ANTP) .
This initiative aims to internally verify compliance with key regulations such as NOM-012 (weights and dimensions), NOM-087 (driving and break times), and NOM-068 (physical and mechanical conditions of vehicles).
With 17 years of experience and more than 50 employees, Mumor participated in the initiative. Regarding the program, it invited officials from the SICT ( Spanish Institute of Civil and Transportation ) and the ANTP ( National Transportation and Transportation Administration) to visit its facilities, where they learned about the company’s travel operations.
Paulina Muñoz , Administrative Director, and Carlos Muñoz , Director of Operations at Mumor Transport, shared their compliance with regulations in their presentation to the authorities and showed how, through advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence , they have optimized each stage of the service, improving efficiency and control in their operations.

By 2025, Mumor Transport plans to add 10 units to its fleet, enabling it to respond more quickly to growing customer demand, especially in areas such as last-mile delivery .
While implementing self-compliance is part of the company’s strategy, the challenge remains constant verification and ensuring that safety and quality standards are maintained.
In this regard, Mumor Transport is committed to ongoing operator training and the integration of technological systems that support safety, such as the Immediate Alert Centers (CAI) , promoted by the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar), which allow for monitoring units and protecting operators on risky routes.
As the sector faces new demands and adapts to regulations, the self-compliance model presents an opportunity to reduce administrative procedures and increase competitiveness. However, its success will depend on companies’ ability to demonstrate that their internal verification processes are reliable and effective.
Mumor Transport , in its quest to adapt to this new model, continues to demonstrate that in a sector as ever-changing as trucking, the key is to stay up-to-date, invest in technology, and strengthen team training to comply with regulations without sacrificing efficiency.
