In a bid to boost efficiency and improve customer experience , global logistics services provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics announced a contractual alliance with fashion and sports brand Lacoste in Mexico.
Volker Sauerborn, director of contract logistics operations at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, highlighted this partnership and welcomed the support for the expansion of this fashion firm in the Mexican market .
“Thanks to our successful track record, we are pleased to strengthen our position in the fashion and lifestyle logistics market in the Americas by partnering with Lacoste in Mexico. As a company with a strong focus on providing tailored solutions for fashion and retail companies , we are delighted to support Lacoste in its expansion in the Mexican market,” said Volker Sauerborn.
As part of the partnership, Hellmann manages a dedicated, full-service distribution center for Lacoste Mexico, the statement said. From a state-of-the-art 11,000-square-meter warehouse in Mexico City , it coordinates the supply of 45 retail stores and direct-to-consumer shipments throughout our country.
Receiving, inventory management, as well as picking, packing and shipping operations for B2B (business-to-business) and outbound e-commerce orders is the range of services provided by Hellmann , a company of German origin.
The company established its fashion logistics division more than two decades ago, and in addition to contractual logistics services, a network of regional teams located in major markets provides flexible omnichannel concepts , e-commerce fulfillment and logistics solutions worldwide.
According to the DataMéxico portal of the Ministry of Economy , in the second quarter of 2024, a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of clothing manufacturing in Mexico of 6.58 billion pesos was recorded , which represented an increase of 5.06% compared to the previous quarter.
These figures show the relevance of this alliance in a textile industry market in Mexico that looks favorable, thanks to the relocation of companies in Mexico ( nearshoring ).
To meet the nearshoring trend, T21 is holding the 22nd edition of ETYL (Transport and Logistics Meeting) , which this year is held under the motto Maximizing Logistics Opportunities with Nearshoring. It will take place on October 9 and 10 in Monterrey and will feature the participation of 25 panelists and nearly 250 attendees.
