Volkswagen Mexico and Audi Mexico held a seminar for their suppliers, an event they held with the aim of strengthening the skills of supplier companies in key areas such as certification of origin and security in the supply chain.
According to a statement issued by the companies, more than 200 representatives of supplier companies of both shipbuilders participated in the meeting , and had the opportunity to address aspects such as certification of origin under the free trade agreement and supply chain security programs, such as the certification of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and CTPAT, which are essential to optimize export processes.
This type of event is extremely important as it brings together two of the most important shipbuilders.
In the first nine months of 2024, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) , Volkswagen and Audi produced 418,950 vehicles in total , of which 85% were destined for international markets.
This type of seminar demonstrates the commitment of these companies to the sustainability of their operations and the strengthening of their value chains, which are essential for competitiveness in the North American market.
