In the customs logistics industry, few companies can boast a history forged with such passion and perseverance. But there are companies that stand out for their efficiency and the human impact they leave on their surroundings. This is the case of Grupo VisiĆ³n , which proudly celebrated 30 years of history in 2025 .
The anniversary was much more than a symbolic date. It was a living tribute to the perseverance , collective effort , and spirit of a family that has managed to turn a company into a community.
The event took place at the Hotel GalerĆa Plaza Reforma , where collaborators from Veracruz, Laredo, Nuevo Laredo and Mexico Citybegan to arrive in the early afternoon .
The day began with welcoming remarks and a commemorative video, followed by a keynote address from customs broker Felipe Miguel GonzĆ”lez Jaimes , founder and leader of the group, whose serene yet emotional voice recalled the company’s beginnings and the profound impact these 30 years have had, not only on his own life but also on the lives of dozens of families who are now part of the team.
āWe’ve seen people retire, others depart from this world. But that’s made us stronger. Every challenge has taught us something. And every achievement, no matter how small, has motivated us to keep going,ā GonzĆ”lez Jaimes said.
The group’s history began with the vision and efforts of Felipe Miguel GonzĆ”lez Jaimes, who became involved in the world of foreign trade at a very young age . “I started by studying a technical degree with a preparatory degree in international trade administration,” he recalled.
In 1977, while working as an office boy for an export consortium, he rose through the ranks. That period was crucial for understanding the sector and visualizing what would later become Grupo VisiĆ³n .
āBack then, everything required a permit,ā he said, referring to the days when customs clearance was a much more manual and bureaucratic process. His experience has translated into a solid company , focused on honesty and service.
One of the most emotional moments of the anniversary celebration was the presentation of awards to those who have dedicated a significant part of their lives to the growth of Grupo VisiĆ³n. Employees with careers ranging from five to 30 years of service were recognized. But it was when the longest-serving employees were honored that the auditorium was filled with a special ovation.
Salvador Ismael Reyes, Alfonso Zavala Sosa, Ricardo Cedillo Medina and Arturo TerƔn Merino were some of the longest-serving collaborators.
The emotion each person displayed as they took the stage to receive their awards, along with the hugs from their colleagues, was a tangible reminder of the kind of bonds that are forged when a company is committed to building lasting relationships . The joy was evident in every gesture and every clap.
The history of Grupo VisiĆ³n cannot be understood without its family essence. Ana Cecilia GonzĆ”lez PĆ”rraga , commercial manager, and MarĆa Fernanda GonzĆ”lez PĆ”rraga , general manager, have forged their own paths within the company, driven by their father’s example.
Ana Cecilia recalled how she started in the processing area, collecting guides and reviewing files, learning from the most operational side.
“We’re not just sisters or daughters of the founder. We’re an active part of this business family,” she said proudly.
For her part, MarĆa Fernanda shared that she joined Grupo VisiĆ³n while studying law. She began working on quality and safety certifications, and there she discovered her calling: professionalizing internal processes to create a solid, forward-thinking company.
āI would like to be remembered as an agent of change. Looking back, I hope we see what we built together as a team,ā MarĆa Fernanda told T21.
The anniversary was also a time to talk about the future , especially considering that the generational change is already underway. For MarĆa Fernanda, the key is not to remain stagnant. “I think I’d like to know how the company was and how it is, or how I created it, so that it doesn’t remain stuck in time.”
Along the same lines, her sister Ana Cecilia expressed that her greatest goal is “for this company to continue building and continue supporting all the families who are our colleagues.”
Both are clear that the main challenge is to evolve without losing the essence that gave rise to them: closeness, integrity, and daily commitment to each customer and each shipment.
The day also included inspiring moments, such as a motivational talk by specialist Ā Julio Carreto on “Effective Communication” for operational and administrative staff.
Later, the presence of the CEAL Military Corps added a solemn and highly symbolic tone, recognizing the importance of discipline, order, and leadership within the organization.
From her position as administrative manager , Sandra Mota also shared her pride in nearly two decades with the company. āI’ve experienced many changes, such as the transition to electronic invoicing, but what has never changed is the camaraderie,ā she said.
His testimony reaffirmed that Grupo VisiĆ³n is not a place of passage, but a professional home for those who have decided to grow within it.
As night fell, attendees were led to the hotel terrace, where a convivial cocktail party awaited them. There, amid laughter, hugs, and toasts, Ā a memorable day came to a close. This celebration demonstrated how the past, present, and future of the company and its employees were intertwined in a single sentiment: gratitude .
Because if anything became clear on this anniversary, it’s that Grupo VisiĆ³n is not just a company; it’s a living history, made up of people, values, and decisions that have successfully combined strategy with heart. Three decades later, the vision remains as clear as it was at the beginning… but with the strength of an entire generation walking together toward what’s next.
