
The movement of vehicles through major ports registered a total of 208,412 units in November 2025 , a growth of 15.2% compared to the same month in 2024 , according to data from the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) on the behavior of the National Port System.
From January to November, 2,034,079 units were transported, representing a 4.7% decrease compared to the previous year . Monthly performance showed an increase, while the annual balance remains negative.

The analysis carried out by T21 Business Intelligence with data from Semar shows that the monthly increase was driven by the port of Lázaro Cárdenas (Mich.), which presented a double-digit growth.
In November 2025, this Pacific port reached 83,143 units, an increase of 45.7% compared to the same period in 2024. In total, this port reached 700,102 units, representing a growth of 10.2% compared to 2024.
In contrast, the port of Veracruz experienced double-digit declines in its operations. In November 2025, it handled a total of 67,175 units, representing a 3.2% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
Reviewing the accumulated figures for the port of Veracruz, during the first 11 months of 2025, 709,920 units were handled, a decrease of 10.2% compared to the same period last year.
Another port that reported losses was Altamira (Tamps.), which registered the movement of 39,950 units in November, a decrease of 1.1% compared to 2014. In accumulated figures from January to November, it closed with 437,355 units, a drop of 6.3% over the same period of the previous year.

Those who registered mixed figures were Mazatlán (Sin.), which added 13,418 units last November, an increase of 35.3% compared to the same month in 2024 , although in the accumulated total it added 148,560 units, a negative variation of 4.5 percent.
Tuxpan (Ver.) reached 4,726 units in November 2025, an increase of 15.1% compared to 2024 , while in the accumulated total it reached 36,342 units, a significant reduction of 56.6%.
Regarding participation by port, Lázaro Cárdenas concentrated the largest number of vehicles moved with 40% , followed by Veracruz with 32.2%, Altamira with 19%, Mazatlán with 6.4% and Tuxpan with 2.2 percent.

In November 2025, vehicle production and exports maintained a negative trend, affected by the slowdown of the Mexican economy and the tariffs applied by the United States.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) , 322,205 cars were manufactured in November , a drop of 8.4% compared to the same month in 2024. In the January-November period, 3,709,533 vehicles were produced, a figure that represented a decrease of 1.5% compared to the previous year.
