CHICAGO, IL. – Recently Samsara announced the Samsara Connected Operations Award , where for the first time a Mexican company was awarded, a distinction that went to Trayecto (número 1 del Top 100 del Autotransporte®) in the category of Patrimonial Security.
Within the framework of Samsara’s Beyond 2024 , Carlos Arias, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Trayecto described the results they have had, but also said that they are focused on achieving a scenario of perfection with zero accidents and zero theft.
At the Samsara Connected Operations Award, Trayecto achieved results of a 90% asset recovery rate for stolen units, while achieving an 83% reduction in recovery time.
Arias said that through artificial intelligence the focus is to maintain the sense of prevention, which is aligned with its objective of zero accidents and zero thefts; although he did not fail to highlight the results in property and road safety, as well as the reaction times from the incorporation of various solutions such as dash cameras, telematics, immobilizers, asset tracking and panic buttons.
In this same context, Sanjit Biswas, CEO and founder of Samsara, described during Beyond 2024 that one of the biggest challenges they have is to achieve greater efficiency and productivity in connected operations and where in motor transportation the fact of offering greater safety stands out, but also fuel efficiency. “The entire Samsara platform is focused on security and real efficiency of financial results,” he considered.
Although Carlos Arias highlighted the infrastructure that Trayecto has with more than five thousand tractor-trailers and more than 11 thousand trailers, the benefits that arise in accidents and thefts have an effect on the operator and its stakeholders, including its more than eight thousand 500 collaborators.
