Looking to the future of mobility and to continue its commitment to sustainable mobility, as well as guarantee safe journeys for users and contribute to caring for the environment, Traxión begins the journey of its first electric bus .
The mobility and logistics solutions provider in Mexico chose International as its business partner in this new service area, with the eCE bus , which offers a minimum autonomy of 210 kilometers.
The new bus has a capacity for 44 passengers and will provide school transportation service in the western part of Mexico City, an area that was chosen for its terrain and infrastructure characteristics and for being an ideal space for the first field tests of International’s eCE.
“This is a historic event for us, but especially for mobility in Mexico. We are introducing the first electric bus that will be operated by LIPU and it is an important step that we are taking towards sustainable and responsible mobility for the future. This bus is designed to provide safety and comfort to our students,” explained Elías Dana, general director of the People Mobility segment at Traxión.
Dana stressed that International’s eCE is more than a technical achievement , it is an example of what can be achieved by joining forces to protect the environment and promote cleaner mobility.
She said that this new vehicle is just the beginning of a change of mentality in society in general, regarding the transformation of mobility in Mexico . “Every decision we make today directly impacts the world we will leave to our children,” Dana said, inviting reflection and action.
Likewise, the general director of the People Mobility segment at Traxión, assured that the company is committed to leading the transition towards cleaner and more efficient transportation. However, he clarified that the effort requires the sum of many wills.

“This bus not only represents technological innovation, but also shows that together we can build a greener, safer and more promising future for future generations,” he said.
For his part, Ángel Fernández, commercial director of International, said that for the brand the entry into operations of the International eCE electric bus is a great opportunity to join the paradigm shift in people mobility .
“This zero-emission bus is an achievement that reflects Grupo Traxión’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, but it is not only a transportation vehicle, but also a symbol of the decisions that Traxión and International have made together to build a better future,” said Fernández.
The event was also attended by the Ministry of Mobility of Mexico City (CDMX), represented by Luis Aranda, director of Specialized Cargo Transportation, who said that the government of Mexico City is committed to supporting this type of project to develop new clean mobility systems.
