The global challenge of the shortage of operators has motivated transport companies to implement various strategies to recognize the important activity they carry out in this industry.
In this context, TransMex ( number 11 in the Top 100 of Autotransporte® ) held the first edition of the Driver Awards, which in its 2024 edition considered the recognition of 100 operators of its terminals in Nuevo Laredo, Nogales, Juárez and Tijuana.
In a statement, TransMex announced that the hundred operators were recognized for their loyalty and efficiency within the company, with a track record of one, three, five, 15, 20 and 25 years of work.
“We want to thank you for the work you do every day. You are the employees with the most responsibility in all of TransMex, and believe me, we do recognize the work you do and that you make a difference in this company, where we are already the leader in road transportation. Thanks to you, we can continue to grow in infrastructure and customers,” said Saúl González, senior vice president of TransMex, in a message sent to the award winners.
The event at the Nuevo Laredo terminal was led by the Vice President of Human Resources, Gerardo Guajardo Galindo; Laura Hernández, Director of Organizational Development; and Miguel Ángel Rentería, Senior Director of Operations.
“We really feel very proud and honored to be part of this celebration. The purpose is to make them feel what they really are worth to the organization. This recognition is something meaningful that comes from the heart to give them, what we want is for them to continue with us for many more years, to feel part of the team and part of the house,” said Gerardo Guajardo.
At the event held in Nuevo Laredo, 15 operators received in person a patch with the number of years they have been with the company, a pin for continuous performance or safety at work, and a commemorative denim jacket where they can place these badges, as well as those they earn later for their good performance.
According to Laura Hernández, the 100 operators will receive this gift at the terminals in Nogales, Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez and Nuevo Laredo.
“You represent all our operators, this is the first stage of one hundred operators and, little by little, we will continue to give this recognition to others, honoring whom honor is due and talking about how important you are for the company,” added Laura Hernández.
In the meantime, Miguel Ángel Rentería highlighted the effort and commitment of the operators and reiterated that TransMex is a company where they can develop and ensure the well-being of their families, “we all know that the challenges are day to day in our company, out on the road, believe me, the people who are working for you looking for the benefits do not close our eyes to what happens, however, we work on seeing how, yes, help us with your good work, taking care of those who are by your side on the road, arrive on time on your trips, keep in touch with your family because they are far away.”
TransMex is part of Knight-Swift Holdings , with operations in the USMCA region.
