The cargo transportation company, Trancasa , managed to reduce its reaction times by 83% and decrease the thefts carried out thanks to the implementation of Samsara technology , according to a press release from both companies.
In addition, it reported a 60% reduction in diesel consumption and a 3% increase in the productivity of its fleet.
Trancasa, with more than 500 operating units, was looking for a technological solution that would allow it to integrate different systems to optimize its performance, improve security and make its operational processes more efficient.
The company also implemented a series of technological tools, such as dashboard cameras with artificial intelligence, load and door sensors , as well as personalized alerts.
These devices allow for improved standardization and visibility of operations, optimizing decision-making and generating databases to identify potential problems and solutions.
“Samsara is a guarantee that it is a reliable source of information. It also helps us make assertive decisions about investment and protocols. With real-time visibility we can identify the product and the route for activating protocols more quickly,” said Juan José de la Cruz, Fuel Management Manager at Trancasa.
The companies said Samsara tools also enable the trucking company to customize safety protocols, improve customer service and document incidents with greater transparency.
“The cameras have helped us make more assertive decisions in the event of accidents and identify alternative routes during adverse weather conditions. The data provided by Samsara helps us quickly identify areas for investment,” said De la Cruz.
The impact of Samsara technology on Trancasa is also reflected in a reduction in the frequency of accidents, lower insurance costs and significant savings in maintenance.
