ALLENDE, NL – This municipality of Nuevo León, located south of Monterrey, is recognized as the capital of cargo transportation , from which various transport groups have emerged that today appear at the national and international level.
In this municipality of 35,289 inhabitants, according to the most recent Population Census, motor transportation is predominant given that it is the third economic activity that generates the most employment in the entity.
“This book not only talks about the history of motor transportation, but also about men and women who with tenacity have created history of kilometers and kilometers traveled represented in the images of tractor trucks. The edition and presentation of the Tracto Clásicos de Nuevo León 2024 book is a material that shows the essence of families that work to form large companies,” said Raúl Tamez Tamez, president of Tracto Clásicos Nuevo León.
At the Allende Theater, before an audience of nearly 200 members of Tracto Clásicos de Nuevo León, the first edition of the book was presented, which consists of 104 pages and refers to the units that make up this group as year-model units since the decade of the 40s of the 20th century, and which closes with the edition of the Kenworth Centenario and Kenworth Tejón models , the latter presented last May and which represents the importance of this region in national motor transportation.
Carlos Ayala was the godfather of this first edition of the book, since in his former position as deputy general director – commercial of PACCAR Mexico, he was the one who promoted the edition of the Kenworth T880 Tejón tractor truck.
“It is worth recognizing the work they do that goes beyond assembling classic tractors, but that they have altruistic work and speaks of their quality as human beings. I celebrate this initiative that speaks of the essence of the city, of the origin of transportation in Mexico,” said Carlos Ayala, who participated in PACCAR México for 39 years, where he was able to meet the transporters of Allende.
Patricia Salazar Marroquín, municipal president of Allende , has been close to motor transportation activities, and where in consecutive periods of government she has been more aware of the relevance of this economic sector.
“Economic activity has grown 60% (between 2018 and 2024) where motor transportation has been key to the promotion of various sectors, such as services in the municipality,” Salazar Marroquín told T21.
The first edition of Tracto Clásicos de Nuevo León consists of 56 photographs of classic tractors , in addition to the graphics of Tejo tractors.
Taking advantage of the presentation of the book, a monument was unveiled in the main square of Allende to recognize the importance of motor transportation in the region, which recognizes not only the businessmen who have started their businesses to develop large companies and promote the region, but to the operators who are key to the advancement of this activity, described Raúl Tamez.
