Once again, Aeromexico positioned itself as the most punctual airline globally during last April, according to the latest Monthly Performance report published by Cirium.
Furthermore, it pointed out that the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) was the main operational hub for the airline, placing it in fifth position in the category of global airports.
According to the publication, during the fourth month of the year, 16,745 flights were operated, of which 89.2% departed on schedule and 88.8% arrived on time. Additionally, out of all planned flights for the month, 99.6% were executed.
It’s worth noting that in February, Aeromexico also achieved 99.78% of its planned flights, with 91.69% departing on time and 90.66% arriving according to schedule.
For this past April, the second place went to the Japanese airline JAL, which “achieved a remarkable improvement this month.” Haneda was its main operational hub, also ranking second in the category of global airports.
The Japanese airline ANA took third place, marking a five-point improvement. Narita International Airport, the airline’s main international hub, followed the positive trend.
Spanish airline Iberia claimed the fourth spot. Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, the firm’s main operational hub, experienced an increase of almost two points compared to the previous month.
Rounding out the top 5 is LATAM Airlines. Arturo Merino Benítez Airport ended the month in sixth place globally.
