
Three consortiums presented their economic proposal to carry out the construction and design of the Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo train, in its first section corresponding to segments 16 and 17 Unión San Javier–Arroyo El Sauz .
According to the bidding process, the consortia are led by Comsa Infraestructuras , which submitted the highest bid of 27 billion 861 million 341 thousand 330.58 pesos . ICA Constructora , which led the bid, submitted the highest bid of 12 billion 652 million 090 thousand 337.50 pesos .
While the lowest ranking was GAMI Engineering, with a proposal of 11 billion 888 million 185 thousand 109.74 pesos .
The proposals will be evaluated by the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF) , which will announce the winner on August 18 .
Meanwhile, for the construction and design of 30.70 kilometers (km) of section I of the Querétaro-Irapuato train, which goes from Apaseo el Grande Industrial Zone to Querétaro Industrial Zone , sub-section from km 5+600 to km 36+300, which includes the construction of viaducts, 11 proposals were presented, of which 10 are in consortium.
The lowest-ranking economic proposal was made by Arturo Hernández González , with one billion 083 million 087 thousand 424.02 pesos, compared to the highest-ranking one, which was the consortium led by Recal Estructuras , with 16 billion 915 million 911 thousand 213.41 pesos.

Likewise, after evaluating the proposals, the ARTF will announce the results of this competition on August 18 .
The agency also launched a pre-call for proposals for the construction and design of 136.28 km of the Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo train, segments 18, 19, and 20, Arroyo El Sauz–Nuevo Laredo , whose work is scheduled to begin on October 13.
The document specified that the 2025 allocation for this project amounts to one billion 331 million 352 thousand 941 pesos .
The call for proposals for this competition will be published on August 19th, while the construction site visit at the Candela Station, located on State Highway 80 in Nuevo León, will be held on August 25th. The clarification meeting will be held the following day, and the presentation and opening of proposals will be held on September 18th of this year.
“This project aims to connect the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas through competitive, efficient, and safe rail transportation that allows for intermodal connections with mass transit systems and reduces overall travel costs for users,” the ARTF stated.
