For the first time in Mexico, T21 and Aviation 21 (A21) launched a joint initiative to highlight and celebrate female leadership within the airline and aeronautical industry , sectors historically dominated by men. This inaugural edition seeks to recognize 21 women whose work, vision, innovation, and commitment are transforming the present and future of aviation in the country.
The list we are publishing today recognizes those professionals who are making their mark in areas as diverse as air operations, engineering, logistics, corporate development, security, training, airport management and strategic sectors associated with transport and the aerospace industry.
The aim is to highlight stories that inspire , contribute to the development of the sector, and pave the way for new generations of women interested in this sector.
This initiative is part of a larger effort to strengthen the presence of women in a sector where significant gaps persist , especially in technical and highly specialized roles. The airline industry continues to face significant challenges in terms of diversity and equity, so recognizing women leaders contributes to driving structural changes, fostering role models, and promoting inclusion in areas such as maintenance, engineering, piloting, and corporate management, among others.
The list of the 21 Women in the Air and Aerospace Industry 2026 not only seeks to celebrate outstanding careers, but also to recognize the real impact that these professionals generate in the transformation of the sector.
With this first edition, T21 and A21 establish a historic precedent: a formal and specialized recognition that places Mexican women in aviation in the place they deserve, highlighting their contributions and strengthening the conversation about equal opportunities within a sector that is strategic for the country’s mobility, economy and development.
