Walmart de México y Centroamérica described the results of its El Fin Irresistible campaign of discounts and offers as “historic ,” in which all of its business formats recorded “unprecedented milestones” on November 18, from e-commerce to physical stores.
According to the company, on that day, e-commerce doubled its sales penetration and reached a record number of sessions and orders, with double-digit growth compared to last year. 65% of On Demand orders were delivered on the same day of purchase. It also achieved an annual record of daily downloads of its applications during the event, which took place from November 7 to 20.
Its Bodega Aurrera format , also on November 18, achieved a historic record in omnichannel sales . Among other figures, during El Fin Irresistible, three out of 10 people in Mexico visited the Bodega Aurrera website or used the app online, reaching sales records in the digital channel.
At Sam’s Club , the day saw record sales in the past five years. In addition, The Irresistible End was the shopping season in which the most new memberships were generated. On November 18, Walmart Supercenter achieved the highest number of omnichannel sales, with a double-digit increase, as well as in the number of transactions.
“The number of shipments doubled compared to last year’s event, and 65% of orders were delivered on the same day, achieving a record number of app downloads with a 40% increase compared to the previous event,” the company said in a statement.
Its Bait phone service also registered a growth of more than 50% in new users in stores and clubs, compared to The Irresistible End 2023, and its Cashi digital wallet was positioned as the number one personal finance application in downloads in Mexico throughout The Irresistible End. In addition, its Health Program had a 38 percent increase .
“With more than three thousand physical stores, as well as sales through mobile applications and online, the company has positioned itself as the preferred destination for families in the country,” the omnichannel retail company highlighted.
According to the firm, at the end of the third quarter of 2024, Walmart de México y Centroamérica reported consolidated revenue growth of 8% , with net sales from January to September of more than 678 billion pesos .
