
The Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF) published the tender for the construction and design of 30.75 kilometers (km) of the Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo passenger train , segment 15 “B”, Monterrey Metropolitan Zone .
In the document, the agency specified that it has an allocation of 351 million 284 thousand 265.16 pesos for this project this year .
He explained that the project will be carried out in the states of Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, with the goal of connecting the Monterrey Metropolitan Area with Nuevo Laredo.
He reported that the construction site visit will be held on November 3rd, followed by a clarification meeting a day later, and the presentation and opening of proposals will take place on December 2nd. The date of the tender’s decision will also be announced .
“The work will be carried out under a fast-track management scheme , with construction beginning in stages as portions of the executive project are completed, without waiting for the entire project to be concluded. This means that work can begin as long as the construction elements of the work being carried out have the corresponding executive project,” he said.
The Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo passenger train project involves the construction of a 395.77 km railway with proposed stations and stops: Derramadero, Saltillo Centro, Ramos Arizpe, García, and Santa Catarina, Monterrey Centro, Las Torres, Bustamante, Anáhuac, and Nuevo Laredo Centro.
It is worth remembering that the ARTF awarded ICA Constructora , Infrastructure Construction Company, Constructions and Triturations, El Cajón Construction Company, La Yesca Hydroelectric Company, Puerto Escondido Infrastructure Developer, Infrastructure Operations Controller and ICA Satellite Building, the construction and design of 100.05 km of this train in segments 16 and 17 Unión San Javier–Arroyo El Sauz .
While for Operadora CICSA and FCC Construcción, it awarded the construction and design of 111 km in segments 13 and 14, Saltillo–Santa Catarina .
For Gami Engineering and Installations , Urales Constructions, Recal Structures and Azvi, awarded the construction and design of 136.28 km in segments 18, 19 and 20, Arroyo El Sauz–Nuevo Laredo .
