TALMA , a leading airport services company in Latin America and part of the Sandoval Group, celebrates its first 15 years of operations in Mexico as a stage that combines growth, learning and a management renewal that drives new opportunities in a market that demands increasingly specialized and technically rigorous services.

The anniversary comes at a key moment for the industry, marked by transformations at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) , the operational progress of Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) , and the need to offer safer, more efficient, and certified cargo services.

In an interview with T21, the company’s CEO, Vladimir Muñoz, acknowledges that TALMA’s history has been marked by constant evolution and milestones that have strengthened its position in the sector. “We have grown, learned, and faced challenges that have allowed us to strengthen ourselves as an organization. Each stage has contributed to our evolution, along with our clients, airports, authorities, and, above all, the great team that makes up TALMA.”

This narrative reflects a market in continuous transformation, where cargo management requires compliance with increasingly demanding standards, more advanced technologies, and processes aligned with international best practices.

The company operates at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), facilities where this year it focused its strategy on obtaining new certifications and updating existing ones for handling specialized cargo, pharmaceuticals, and lithium batteries. The message is clear: updating and strengthening standards is essential to maintaining and boosting competitiveness. Therefore, Muñoz announced that TALMA plans an expansion at AIFA to double its capacity and explore a new market “that is profitable in other countries where we operate,” a move that reinforces its integration within its international network.

The organization acknowledges that the current environment compels them to strengthen their service levels and maintain the flexibility to respond to market dynamics. “Thank you for your support, because you are a fundamental part of the company during these 15 years and the foundation of a story that will continue to grow. Mexico is a large country that offers many opportunities,” the executive stated, in a message that combines recognition and a strengthening of ties with clients and authorities.

Muñoz emphasizes that TALMA’s history has been built on the internal “family” that has faced challenges that have made them stronger. This view is shared by Ricardo Cutforth, Commercial Director, who underscores that this year was marked by significant operational and commercial advancements that strengthened the team and allowed them to consolidate key results: “Together we achieved extremely significant milestones; it was a period of sustained growth, in which we reaffirmed our ability to respond with excellence and consolidate our growth as a team. This performance reflects the value of strategic collaboration across the entire value chain.”
