With the introduction and launch of International ‘s new 100% electric eCE bus, people mobility in Mexico has been transformed.

This new unit is already operating in the fleet of Grupo Traxión , a company that acquired it to provide school transportation services in the western part of Mexico City.

To achieve a successful operation, the company partnered with the dealership Camiones Repuestos y Accesorios (CRA) of International , who provided the unit, advice, training and support so that the new electric mobility project for people is a success, since this is a technological leap that challenges the transportation companies, the plant and the dealers.

To provide support to customers, International trained technicians at dealerships that are already planning to market the eCE , because being an electric vehicle, voltages are handled that can be a risk for those in charge of keeping the units in optimal conditions, so there must be specialists in the subject.

CRA explained to T21 that when the plant announced that an electric bus was coming to Mexico, they approached Traxión to see the vehicle, due to the intention of the transportation and logistics services company to advance its plans to incorporate the latest technology in accordance with its environmental protection objectives.

As for maintenance, this is minimal because it is an electric vehicle that does not use combustion, so it is only necessary to consider the proper functioning of the brakes and have availability of spare parts and collision parts. In addition to support in telemetry issues to monitor the performance of the units and improve the operation of the unit .

CRA explained that, as suppliers of the unit, they were in charge of installing the charging infrastructure for the unit. To this end, they have made investments to support this technological transition.

Since, at the time when the market is activated, it is necessary to have the conditions for the effective operation of the unit, for this reason it not only has trained personnel, but also the facilities prepared to serve the International eCE, for this purpose a charger was installed in the dealership, so that, when the unit enters service, the unit is supplied with energy.

To date, Grupo Traxión is the only transport and logistics company that has an electric bus . This division opens a new path, not only for the company, but for the mobility of people in the country, a fact that could not be materialized without the support of the dealer network.
