<p><span>In an increasingly demanding market, </span><a href="https://www.scania.com/mx/es/home.html"><strong><span>Scania Mexico</span></strong></a><span> has decided to redouble its commitment to after-sales service as a key driver of consolidation. The company will therefore open </span><strong><span>more branches in 2026</span></strong><span> , all of which will be operated directly by the brand, according to David Hernández Saldaña, National Sales and After-Sales Manager at Scania Trucks.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span>&#8220;We&#8217;re going to open three more branches this year, and next year we&#8217;ll open another 17,&#8221; explained Hernández, who also emphasized, in an interview with T21, that this expansion will not be through distributors, but rather through a </span><strong><span>proprietary network</span></strong><span> that directly responds to the company&#8217;s value promise.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span>That commitment, he said, is one of the main challenges.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span>&#8220;We&#8217;ve worked hard to strengthen it. We want to fulfill everything we promised our customers,&#8221; he stated, referring to the importance of building long-term relationships with carriers across the country.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span>The most recent opening of its branch in </span><strong><span>Tepotzotlán</span></strong><span> , in the State of Mexico, is part of this journey. But it&#8217;s not just about growth for growth&#8217;s sake: the expansion responds to a clear strategy of support, operational efficiency, and technical response that, according to Hernández, is part of a long-term vision.</span></p>
<p>“The potential is still very great. We&#8217;ve had great clients and great friends here. I see it developing a lot,” he shared, speaking about the domestic market.</p>
<p><span>The network&#8217;s growth is part of a broader effort to consolidate Scania as a strategic player in freight transportation in Mexico.</span></p>
<p><span>According to figures from the </span><a href="https://www.anpact.com.mx/"><span>National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Trailer Producers (ANPACT)</span></a><span> , between January and May 2025, </span><strong><span>Scania placed 275 tractor-trailers wholesale</span></strong><span> , a figure that represented a </span><strong><span>49% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year. In the </span></strong><strong><span>intercity bus</span></strong><span> segment , the brand reported a positive performance with </span><strong><span>444 units sold</span></strong><span> , which meant a growth of </span><strong><span>37.9 percent</span></strong><span> . As for the rest of the cargo category, </span><strong><span>it registered 18 units sold</span></strong><span>  compared to 145 the previous year.</span></p>
<p><span>These results reflect a mixed performance reflecting current market conditions, but also confirm Scania&#8217;s strength in strategic segments such as passenger transport.</span></p>
<p><span>Beyond units sold, the company seeks to build long-term relationships with its customers, supported by its own operational infrastructure, technical support, and a clear focus on after-sales efficiency.</span></p>
<p><span>The planned expansion will not only increase coverage but also strengthen care standards in key areas of Mexico.</span></p>
<p><span>Furthermore, the expansion of its operations is not limited to territorial growth: it is part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen Scania&#8217;s operational structure with a direct presence in important areas of the country.</span></p>
