During its Board of Directors session, the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (Concamin) appointed Miguel Ángel Bres García as president of the Security Commission.

Bres García has over 35 years of experience in freight transportation, logistics, and corporate governance. He is currently Vice President for the Bajío Region of the National Chamber of Freight Transportation (Canacar) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of B&G Capital Group, whose portfolio includes TDR Transportes , CFS Servicios Financieros, CONVOY 360, INTRA RH, MPV 360, and VESLO.

In his new role at Concamin, he will incorporate his experience in the trucking industry into the analysis of the risks facing the industry and the strengthening of security in supply chains.

The appointment was made prior to the Concamin Board of Directors meeting, headed by its president, Alejandro Malagón Barragán , and the general secretary, Eduardo Ramírez Leal , during the presentation of the reports and the update of the working committees.

During the session , reports from the working committees were also presented, with the participation of Virginia Olalde López-Gavito, president of the Transportation Committee ; Judith Garza, of Foreign Trade ; Eduardo Ocampo Bautista, of the Labor, Social Security and Human Resources Committee ; Juan Díaz Mazadiego, of Regulatory Improvement ; Mónica Barrera Vara, of Sustainability and Climate Change ; and Carlos Medina Rodríguez, of Housing .

The Concamin Security Commission serves as a coordinating body for business chambers, authorities, and specialized organizations to identify risks, promote best practices, and strengthen the institutional response to the challenges facing the national industry. With the arrival of Bres García, the trucking sector will have a direct role in defining this agenda.

After assuming the presidency of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin) on March 22, Alejandro Malagón Barragán, in the first meeting of the Board of Directors, the names of those who will assume various commissions were defined, including the Transport Commission, which had been the subject of negotiation among the members of the confederation in previous weeks.

The Transport Commission, vacated by Francisco Javier de Peña Dueñas, will be taken over by Elim Luviano Heredia, Executive Director of the National Chamber of Passenger and Tourism Transport (Canapat). Meanwhile, Peña Dueñas will serve as Vice President of Concamin.

Luviano Heredia previously chaired the Security Commission, which will now be the responsibility of Miguel Ángel Martínez Millán, President of the National Chamber of Freight Transport (Canacar). Martínez Millán is also a Vice President of Concamin.

At Concamin, there are 32 commissions, each headed by the chambers and associations that are members of the confederation.

The most recent presidents of the Transport Commission have been Felipe de Javier Peña Dueñas, President of the National Council for the Supply of Grains and Oilseeds (Conago) and Executive Vice President of, Miguel Elizalde Lizarraga, then President of the National Association of Bus, Truck, and Tractor-Trailer Manufacturers (ANPAC), and José Luis Fuente Pochat, also then President of Canimolt.

Meanwhile, before being assumed by Elim Luviano, the Security Commission was headed by José Refugio Muñoz López (RIP), then Executive Vice President of Canacar.
