</div>
<blockquote><p><span>“This plant symbolizes our commitment to excellence and our mission to push the boundaries of aerospace talent and technology in Mexico. Querétaro, with its talent and vision, has become a key partner, and Safran is proud to contribute to the development of this region,” said Philippe Errera, Executive Vice President of International Development and Government Relations at Safran.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span>With this expansion, Safran is advancing in the integration of its industrial and logistics activities in Querétaro, within North America, and these new capacities will be dedicated to the </span><strong><span>final assembly of engine fans and turbines</span></strong><span> , </span><strong><span>supporting the increase in production of the CFM LEAP engine</span></strong><span> and generating </span><strong><span>150 new jobs</span></strong><span> .</span></p>
<p><span>Safran Aircraft Engines Mexico (SAEM) now covers </span><strong><span>26,000 square meters (m2) of operating space</span></strong><span> and employs 650 people. The expansion includes an additional </span><strong><span>4,300 m2</span></strong><span> of operational buildings and </span><strong><span>8,500 m2 of logistics warehouses</span></strong><span> .</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-623774" src="https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-300x179.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="179" srcset="https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-300x179.jpeg 300w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-1024x613.jpeg 1024w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-768x459.jpeg 768w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-600x359.jpeg 600w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-150x90.jpeg 150w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-750x449.jpeg 750w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444-1140x682.jpeg 1140w, https://t21.us/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/IMG_1444.jpeg 1170w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></p>
<p><span>This positions SAEM and Querétaro as the first final assembly site for single-aisle commercial aircraft engines in Mexico, joining the Group&#8217;s existing facilities in France and the United States.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span>“With this plant, Mexico will position itself among the few countries capable of covering the entire engine life cycle: from the manufacturing of parts and modules to final assembly, repair, maintenance and engine testing,” said Jean-Paul Alary, CEO of Safran Aircraft Engines, during the Farnborough Airshow last July.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span>The inauguration was attended by executives from the French firm, such as </span><strong><span>Alejandro Cardona</span></strong><span> , president of Safran Mexico, as well as state and federal government officials, including </span><strong><span>Marcelo Ebrard</span></strong><span> , head of the </span><a href="https://www.gob.mx/se"><span>Ministry of Economy</span></a><span> , who emphasized that they will support the company in its projects so that Mexico continues to have a relevant place in its operations.</span></p>
<p><span>According to the company, the LEAP engine is one of its flagship products with more than </span><strong><span>8,500 units in operation</span></strong><span> , accumulating more than </span><strong><span>60 million flight hours</span></strong><span> , and an order book exceeding </span><strong><span>11,600 units</span></strong><span> .</span></p>
<p><span>Safran has been operating in Mexico for over </span><strong><span>34 years</span></strong><span> and currently has </span><strong><span>18 facilities</span></strong><span> and nearly </span><strong><span>14,000 employees</span></strong><span> in the country. The Group has a presence in Chihuahua, Querétaro, Baja California and Mexico City, occupying the position of largest employer in the Mexican aerospace industry.</span></p>
