<p><span dir="auto">According to a report by the </span><a href="https://www.anpact.com.mx/"><span dir="auto">National Association of Bus, Truck, and Tractor-Trailer Manufacturers (ANPACT)</span></a><span dir="auto"> , wholesale sales of heavy cargo and passenger vehicles </span><strong><span dir="auto">reached 2,773 units in November, representing a 57% drop compared to November 2024.</span></strong><span dir="auto"> However, November&#8217;s figure is the highest of the year.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">Within wholesale sales, the cargo segment moved 2,457 units, which represented a drop of 57.2% compared to the comparative period, while passenger placements stood at 316 vehicles, a contraction of 54.9 percent.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span dir="auto">ANPACT figures revealed that within the cargo segment, </span><strong><span dir="auto">tractor-trailers returned to a sales cycle above one thousand units in the month, with 1,081 vehicles</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , this represented a decrease of 61.2 percent.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">November added to the cycle of the first quarter of 2025, where wholesale sales of tractor-trailer trucks were above one thousand units.</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">This behavior was comprised of 22,453 units from the cargo segment and 4,024 passenger vehicles, which represented a drop of 54.7% and 53.9%, respectively.</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">Cumulative sales of tractor-trailer trucks totaled 11,473 units as of November 2025, a decline of 58.2% compared to the same period in 2024. Tractor-trailer sales represented 51% of the total freight market sales during the cycle.</span></p></blockquote>

<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">Retail sales consisted of 2,404 cargo units, 44.9% less than in 2024; while the passenger segment totaled 431 vehicles, a contraction of 30.6 percent.</span></p></blockquote>

<p><span dir="auto">Class 8 totaled 623 units, a decrease of 45.7% compared to the evaluation cycle, based on ANPACT figures.</span></p>
<p><strong><span dir="auto">In cumulative sales, the retail segment stood at 35,817 units at the end of November</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , 31% below the 2024 level.</span></p>
<p><strong><span dir="auto">In the freight sector, 29,907 trucks were recorded</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , a decrease of 32.1 percent. Passenger sales totaled 5,910 units, a 24.6% drop compared to the same period last year.</span></p>
<p><strong><span dir="auto">Regarding tractor-trailers, 15,431 units were moved in the period up to last November</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , a decrease of 35.7% compared to the same period in 2024.</span></p>

<p><span>In retail sales , </span><strong><span>3,537 units</span></strong><span> were sold , a decrease compared to the 4,322 registered in March 2024. In the cumulative January to March, the figure rose to 11,010 units, below the 13,163 of last year.</span></p>
<p><span>By segment, </span><strong><span>freight accounted for the majority of retail sales in March</span></strong><span>, with 2,925 units. Fifth-wheel tractors accounted for the largest volume, with </span><strong><span>1,695 units</span></strong><span> , although they also registered a 12.6% decrease compared to March of the previous year.</span></p>

<p><span>In passenger traffic, 592 units were sold, down from 738 last year. Despite the overall decline, intercity buses stood out with a 46.1% increase, selling 168 units.</span></p>
<p><span>Wholesale sales </span><strong><span>totaled 2,755 units in March</span></strong><span> , a figure lower than the 4,651 in the same month of 2024. In the first quarter, 7,752 units were reported, also below the 12,880 in the same period of the previous year.</span></p>
<p><span>The freight segment </span><strong><span>accounted for 2,212 units in March wholesale sales</span></strong><span> , with a marked decline in Class 8 and tractor-trailers. In passenger vehicles, 543 units were sold, with intercity buses again standing out, with a 44% increase compared to 2024.</span></p>

<p><span>March figures show a slower start to the year in heavy vehicle sales. The entry into force of </span><strong><span>NOM-044</span></strong><span> forced manufacturers and transporters to accelerate their transition to new technologies. Added to this is the trade uncertainty with the United States, marked by possible changes in Donald Trump&#8217;s policies. The sector remains on the move, but with more careful decisions.</span></p>
