That’s why it launched the R25 Plan , a strategic project that redefines the way Renault operates, innovates, and connects with its customers.

“At Renault, we’re not just focused on selling cars, but on transforming the customer experience from every touchpoint. We’re not just looking for margin indicators, but rather generating real value for the entire ecosystem: employees, repair shops, advisors, and distributors. And, above all, for the more than half a million families who have already placed their trust in us,” said Jesús Gallo, CEO of Renault Mexico.

The R25 Plan is structured on three fundamental pillars : an obsession with customer satisfaction , a strengthened and strategic distributor network , as well as an optimized, innovative and 100% digital operation .

This approach responds to a critical need to provide accessible, efficient, and desirable solutions in a constantly changing market.

In this regard, by increasing their sales rate by 15% and their after-sales rate by 19% , they will seek to guarantee the quality of repairs with more than 100 points and a specialized network with over 30,000 hours of training, as well as increasing their electromechanical enrollment by 60% and their technical staff by 80%.

Renault has also promoted a network coverage of more than 95% of the national territory , with key points in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes and Merida , where its new brand image has also been deployed , reflecting the redesign of the physical experience on the sales floors.

The third pillar of the R25 Plan focuses on the complete digitalization of processes , with the upcoming launch of RConnected , a platform that will facilitate the entire purchasing experience for dealers and customers, from vehicle preparation to delivery.

Added to this is the Renault Product Master , a specialist who will guide customers through the purchasing process to ensure that each decision is aligned with their needs.

Portfolio renewal: From entry-level to electric luxury

Renault will renew 75% of its portfolio , with a presence in two new segments .

In the last 10 months, they have already launched more than five models , including the new Koleos , where Mexico is the first Latin American market to have it and the second in the world after South Korea.

Since its introduction in 2008 with 11,000 units and a significant improvement in 2017 with 16,000 units , the Koleos has established itself as a key model for the brand in Mexico.

Renault will offer a conventional and a hybrid version that embodies the company’s vision under the concept ” voitures à vivre “ (cars for living), integrating four major pillars: engine, technology, safety and design .

In addition, it incorporates elements of the Human First Program , aimed at ensuring safety not only focused on the driver, but on the entire road ecosystem, as well as Alpine ‘s competitive spirit , present in its performance.

Under the hood, the new Koleos offers a 2.0-liter turbo engine, a seven-speed transmission, producing 215 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque with five driving modes. It also features artificial intelligence, fully autonomous parking, and Level 2 autonomous driving. Safety features include a 540° camera and active safety features for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

In the Full Hybrid E-Tech version it offers a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a complete hybridization system that delivers 241 hp and 402 lb-ft of torque , managed by a three-speed DHT gearbox and five driving modes . This architecture allows the vehicle to start in completely electric mode and 75% of its journey to be completed without gasoline consumption , thus achieving a combined performance of up to 22.1 km / l and a range of a thousand kilometers per tank , reducing fuel consumption by 40% .

In parallel, Renault will also launch a limited edition of 275 units , as part of an exclusive positioning strategy.

Pre -orders will begin on May 26 , with a pre-release on June 12 and official launch on June 13 .

In a country like Mexico, where entrepreneurship or micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the foundation of the economy, accessing tools that facilitate business growth is a challenge.

Given this situation, Renault has decided to support small and medium-sized businesses with the Boost Your Business program , an initiative that combines vehicles designed for commercial needs with affordable financing plans.

“We know that accessing credit is often difficult, with high monthly payments and financial procedures being an obstacle. With this program, we seek to eliminate those barriers. We want entrepreneurs to see us as a strategic partner, not just a vehicle supplier,” explained Nuria Rapalo, Director of Communications at Renault Mexico.

One of the main attractions of the program is access to flexible financing through Renault Financial Services, with specific plans so entrepreneurs can purchase a vehicle without affecting their liquidity through preferential prices and rates.

On the other hand, he assured that they are guaranteeing immediate availability of the vehicles.

Commitment to electromobility in the last mile

Mexico is taking steps toward the electrification of transportation , and Renault wants to lead this change.

“In 2024, states like Nuevo León registered more than 5,500 electric and hybrid vehicles sold, making it the third-largest state in sales after Mexico City and the State of Mexico,” Rapalo said.

The brand has worked with large companies like DHL and Mercado Libre to electrify their fleets, but it also seeks to bring these options to small businesses.

“The operating cost of an electric vehicle is up to 80% lower than that of a combustion-powered vehicle, so it’s not only a greener option, but also a more cost-effective one in the long run,” the executive stated.

On the other hand, Renault not only sells vehicles, but also offers specialized after-sales service , that is, if an entrepreneur needs to adapt their vehicle for an ambulance or a specific business.

“We also train drivers to get the most out of their vehicles, especially electric ones,” Rapalo said.

He also mentioned that Renault’s fleet team has been restructured to offer more personalized service throughout the entire process, from purchase to training, regardless of the number of vehicles purchased.

The brand invited entrepreneurs to visit its more than 80 points of sale in Mexico to boost their business.

Renault has developed a range of vehicles specifically designed for the needs of entrepreneurs, which is why it offers the Renault Kangoo, Oroch, Master Diesel and Master E-Tech in this program .

In a constantly evolving Mexican automotive landscape, Renault Mexico is betting heavily on the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment , a sector that demands a combination of efficiency and functionality, which is why it has become a key piece in the brand’s expansion strategy in the country.

Since Jesús Gallo’s arrival as general manager of Renault Mexico in August 2024, the company has undertaken an ambitious strategy to strengthen its presence in the LCV segment, an approach that not only seeks to increase the French brand’s market share, but also to establish quality and innovation standards in commercial transportation in Mexico through a robust strategic plan, to consolidate itself as a benchmark in this segment, key to the development of companies in Mexico.

In an interview, the CEO said that Renault Mexico’s strategy in the LCV segment is based on an approach that combines innovation, customer service and adaptability to market conditions under three fundamental pillars: product, customer satisfaction and market attractiveness.

Renault Mexico sees the commercial vehicle segment as a solid business opportunity with significant growth potential.

Although it does not compete directly in volume with the most dominant brands in the passenger vehicle market, Jesús Gallo pointed out that this sector is vital for the brand due to its high profitability and ability to retain customers through after-sales.

“We see a great development in brand positioning for today. This approach not only allows Renault to reinforce its presence in Mexico, but also to strengthen its relationship with customers, especially those who depend on fleets for their daily operations,” he assured T21.

In terms of products , Gallo said that Renault is betting on a well-positioned product offering that is relevant to the needs of the Mexican market.

“We are not talking about bringing 14 products, but rather products that are relevant to the industry in Mexico, models that really provide value to their customers, such as efficiency, durability and ease of maintenance,” he explained.

In addition, the brand works with certified transformers to customize vehicles according to the specific needs of customers, an adaptability that is essential to serve a variety of sectors, from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large corporations, Gallo explained.

On the other hand, Renault seeks to increase customer satisfaction , since “we want the customer to never feel alone or with an unresolved problem for a long time,” which translates into service and technical support policies that guarantee the continuity of the companies’ operations.

In this regard, Renault has implemented a comprehensive support system that includes technical assistance, efficient after-sales service and a preventive maintenance program, reducing downtime and optimizing fleet performance.

The third key element of Renault’s strategy is to offer attractive commercial solutions tailored to customers’ needs, including flexible financing plans, specially designed for SMEs, and programs that facilitate fleet management.

“It’s not about selling a car, it’s about selling a mobility solution,” Gallo emphasized.

Logistics, a strategic pillar

At this point, to support these pillars, logistics plays an important role, which is why Jesús Gallo assured that this segment before the pandemic was a little-visible function, but the COVID-19 crisis radically changed that perception.

“Logistics used to be a function that no one talked about because it wasn’t a problem. Today, it is one of the most critical areas in any business,” Gallo said.

He said that during the pandemic, Renault Mexico faced supply chain challenges that forced the company to reevaluate its approach , resulting in increased investment and expansion of the logistics team, which has become the company’s second-largest team in Mexico since August.

Gallo stressed the importance of logistics not only in the management of cars, but also in the distribution of parts to other production centers.

This department is today essential for optimizing efficiency, from the use of transporters to improving the delivery of vehicles and spare parts.

“We are working to not only order cars, but to do so efficiently, maximizing the capacity of the carriers and ensuring optimized deliveries,” Gallo added.
