<p><strong><span dir="auto">Trucking is an essential activity for the Mexican economy</span></strong><span dir="auto"> and for daily life in the country: more than 80% of domestic goods are transported by road, it accounts for more than 57% of total trade, and it contributes 3.7% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, one of its biggest challenges remains the recruitment and retention of drivers.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">The </span><a href="https://www.iru.org/"><span dir="auto">International Road Transport Union (IRU)</span></a><span dir="auto"> estimates that by 2025 there will be a shortage of 99,000 operators in Mexico, resulting from multiple structural factors affecting the sector.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Based on this reality, the </span><strong><span dir="auto">Drive Is Great</span></strong><span dir="auto"> certification , created in 2023 by </span><strong><a href="https://www.vi-human.com/"><span dir="auto">VI-Human</span></a><span dir="auto"> and </span><a href="https://t21.com.mx/"><span dir="auto">Grupo T21</span></a></strong><span dir="auto"> , recognizes organizations that have developed strong cultures and effective operator management models.</span></p>
