<p><span dir="auto">Regarding product or cargo theft, the most affected subgroups during the period were: </span><strong><span dir="auto">industrial products with 20.2% of the total incidents</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , followed by consumer goods with 17.9%, and auto parts with 15.6 percent.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Together, these three subgroups accounted for 53.7% of all theft incidents recorded during the reference period.</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">During the cycle, ATTRAPI specified that the products with the highest theft rate were </span><strong><span dir="auto">accessories</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , which accounted for 59.1% of the reports, followed by </span><strong><span dir="auto">batteries</span></strong><span dir="auto"> with 37.4%, while </span><strong><span dir="auto">tires</span></strong><span dir="auto"> had a share of 95.7 percent.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">According to data from the regulatory agency, Coahuila topped the list of the top 10 federal entities with the most reported robberies, with 559 cases.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Aguascalientes followed with 415 reports, Sonora with 319, Guanajuato with 313 and Sinaloa with 277 cases in the period January-September 2025, among other states.</span></p>

<p><span dir="auto">The ARTF specified that the group of industrial products represented 74.2% of the total theft reports, followed by agricultural products, with 23.2% of the reported incidents.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Regarding product or cargo theft, the most affected subgroups during the period were:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span dir="auto">Other industrial products, with 18.56% of the total incidents.</span></li>
<li><span dir="auto">Grains, seeds and their derivatives, with 16.85 percent.</span></li>
<li><span dir="auto">Consumer goods, with 16.37 percent.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span dir="auto">Overall, the agency noted, these three subgroups accounted for </span><strong><span dir="auto">51.78% of all theft incidents</span></strong><span dir="auto"> .</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">“Within the subgroup of other industrial products, accessories accounted for 58.53% of the reports. In the case of grains, seeds and their derivatives, the product with the highest incidence of theft was corn, with a 53.76% share within the subgroup, and for the subgroup of consumer goods, the most affected product was batteries, with 41.6%,” he explained.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span dir="auto">The ARTF reported that </span><strong><span dir="auto">Coahuila, Aguascalientes, Sonora and Sinaloa</span></strong><span dir="auto"> were the entities with the highest number of actions of this type, with 398, 270, 215 and 200, respectively, in the reference period.</span></p>

<p><span>According to the document </span><em><span>Pulso del Sistema Ferroviario Mexicano</span></em><span> , during this period 317 reports of robberies were registered </span><strong><span>, compared to 84 on an interannual basis.</span></strong></p>
<p><span>The states with the highest total number of reports were </span><strong><span>Guanajuato with 82, Coahuila with 33 and Jalisco with 27.</span></strong></p>
<blockquote><p><span>“The border states in the north of the country, specifically Coahuila, Nuevo León and Sonora, have the highest concentration of reports in this region. This is attributed to the operational dynamics of international rail traffic, given that these entities are key points for the transit of goods between Mexico and the United States,” said the ARTF.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span>He specified that of the total number of reports, </span><strong><span>only 53 complaints have been filed with the</span></strong><span> competent authority, which may contain one or several cases of theft of products/cargo, fuel, rolling stock, signal and track components.</span></p>
<p><span>In this regard, during the month in question the most stolen products correspond to the subgroups of Grains, seeds and their derivatives, with 18.5% of incidents, those classified as Other industrial products 16.6% and Construction material 16 percent.</span></p>

<p><span>The ARTF stated that the subgroups of goods with the highest number of reports of theft incidents during the reference month were:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span>Other industrial products (19.60% of theft incidents)</span></li>
<li><span>Grains, seeds and their derivatives (17.62% of theft incidents)</span></li>
<li><span>Auto parts (16.96% of theft incidents)</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span>These three subgroups together represent 54.19% of the total theft incidence reports.</span></p>

<p><strong><span>Rail freight transport in Mexico</span></strong><span> registered a total of 307 thefts during May 2024, an increase of 99.3% compared to the same month last year, with cement, quarry or earthenware for flooring or paving and auto parts being the merchandise with the most incidents in this period, according to the report of the <a href="https://www.gob.mx/artf">Agencia Reguladora del Transporte Ferroviario (ARTF)</a>.</span></p>

<p><span>The ARTF mentioned that during the fifth month of the year, only 56 complaints were registered with the competent authority out of the total number of reports presented.</span></p>
<p><span>In general, in the total number of reports, the states of </span><strong><span>Guanajuato stand out with 52,  </span></strong><strong><span>Coahuila with 44 and Aguascalientes with 35.</span></strong></p>
<p><span>The merchandise subgroups with the highest number of reports of theft incidents during May 2024 were:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span>Other industrial products (22.01% of theft incidents).</span></li>
<li><span>Construction material (15.22% of theft incidents).</span></li>
<li><span>Auto parts (14.4% of theft incidents).</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span>These three groups together represent 51.63% of the total reports of theft incidence.</span></p>

<p><span>By May 2024, the products with the highest incidence of theft within the Other industrial products subgroup were </span><strong><span>unspecified accessories,</span></strong><span> which obtained 46.9% of the total, followed by unspecified controls with 35.8 percent.</span></p>
<p><strong><span>In the case of the construction material</span></strong><span> subgroup , the product that was reported stolen most frequently was cement with 94.6% of the total, followed by quarry or tiles for flooring or paving with 5.3% of the total.</span></p>
<p><strong><span>For its part, in the auto parts</span></strong><span> subgroup , the highest number of theft incidents were tires with 96.2% of the total.</span></p>
