In a challenging year for the Mexican heavy vehicle industry , marked by sharp declines in production and exports, Invest Monterrey presented the first edition of Business Talks Heavy Duty Vehicles , an event designed to open a space for strategic conversation between companies, organizations, specialists and actors in the logistics chain who participate in one of the key sectors for the national economy.

The forum, which will take place on December 2 at the Deloitte Center of Excellence in Monterrey, seeks to connect ideas, investments and opportunities in a region with a distinctive industrial weight.

Nuevo León and its metropolitan area have clusters , suppliers and technical centers that support the supply chain and logistics related to heavy vehicles in the north of the country.

Invest Monterrey decided to establish this new dialogue platform at a time when companies require cooperation, analysis, and a shared vision to face the current challenges of the industry.

2025 has remained below the levels reached in 2023 and 2024, with more pronounced declines starting in the second quarter. This scenario makes the forum a timely meeting point for companies and organizations to analyze the current situation, share assessments, and explore alternatives to sustain the industrial structure built in recent decades.

An agenda designed to address critical issues

The Business Talks Heavy Duty Vehicles program brings together organizations representing different links in the industry and logistics, allowing the public to access a cross-cutting view of the sector in a single space.

One of the first conferences on the agenda is led by the  National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Trailer Manufacturers (ANPACT) , with the conference “Trends and Perspectives of the Heavy Vehicle Industry,” their participation will provide an overview of the recent behavior of the industry.

Later, representatives from the Coahuila Automotive Industry Cluster (CIAC) , the Nuevo León Logistics Cluster , Joffroy , and Beyond Logistics will address “The Future of Logistics in Mexico and How to Adapt to Changes in the National Industry.” Topics related to the impact of the USMCA on the sector will also be discussed .

In addition, the analysis will examine how regulations, rules of origin, regional content requirements, and manufacturing competitiveness are influencing investment decisions and the operations of automakers and suppliers.

The program’s closing event will bring together various companies from the sector, who will share their perspectives on the current environment, industry challenges, and the evolution of the supply chain. It will be an opportunity to learn how companies are navigating this complex year and what issues they consider priorities for the sector’s development.

Invest Monterrey highlighted that the central objective of the event is to create a space where the industry can analyze its present situation, share experiences, and collaborate on real solutions.

In a sector that drives exports, manufacturing, specialized jobs and a significant part of Mexican foreign trade, dialogue becomes both strategic and urgent.

The organization hopes that the conclusions drawn from the forum will translate into projects, alliances, and actions that will contribute to strengthening the sector in the coming months.

Although 2025 has represented one of the most complex years for the industry, it also opens the opportunity to rethink processes, adjust strategies and build resilience.
