SimpliRoute , a Chilean company specializing in logistics solutions with artificial intelligence (AI), presented its ADA AI technology. This launch, supported by ProChile, seeks to address and solve the deficiencies identified in the Mexican logistics sector , according to a joint press release. 

In this sense, ADA AI aims to optimize routes and logistics decisions through predictive analysis, allowing Mexican companies to interact with their data without requiring specialists. 

In this regard, Álvaro Echeverría, CEO of SimpliRoute, commented that AI applied to logistics not only reduces times and costs , but also allows companies to meet sustainability objectives. 

“We are looking at how companies can reduce their carbon footprint, especially in a sector where 60% of emissions come from transport operations,” said Echeverría. 

He also indicated that the idea behind this launch is to reduce delivery times by up to 35% and generate operational savings of around 30 percent. 

Likewise, and according to the statement, companies seek to use these technologies to reduce carbon emissions , in a context where transport operations generate 60% of emissions in the logistics sector. 

The collaboration between ProChile and SimpliRoute includes training programs for Mexican companies , with the goal of integrating AI into their processes in an effective and sustainable way.

With the aim of promoting exports of goods and services from Chile to Mexico, ProChile promoted a meeting between suppliers of forestry manufacturing, companies exporting logistics and cybersecurity services, with Jalisco importers .

Ivy Chávez, commercial representative of ProChile in Guadalajara, highlighted to T21 that this promotion office carried out a market study that generated a general overview of the sectors with potential for Chilean exportable services to enter the market.

“For example, we have explored logistics services for a few years and gave a general perspective of what Mexico’s approach is in terms of its intensive use and since 2023 there has been a focus on logistics services with the axis of cybersecurity, especially everything in foreign trade,” explained Chávez.

At the end of 2023, exports from Chile to Mexico reached 1,751 million dollars, recording an average annual increase of 5.2%, and taking into account the potential of Mexico as one of the main hubs (connection centers) in America with the derived projects. of the relocation of manufacturing companies in the country (nearshoring) .

Chávez explained that the intensification of logistics services and especially cybersecurity safeguards, focus on the cargo transportation service. “We have detected, based on various studies, that 60% of transport companies have reported some type of cyber attack . Added to this is road insecurity and the lack of an immediate response from security agencies, all of this derives from the lack of prevention, which is why Chilean companies have observed an opportunity to offer traceability, geolocation, monitoring, georeferencing, among others,” he commented.

The relevance of this offer derives from Mexico’s export potential , since according to what was reported by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) , at the end of April of the current year the value of merchandise exports reached 51 thousand 319 million dollars, a figure made up of 49,207 million dollars of non-oil exports and 2,113 million dollars of oil exports.

In the opinion of the representative of ProChile, cargo transportation is a key factor in the success of exports, mainly to the United States, which is why Chilean companies focus on Mexico, especially on issues of training and use of cybersecurity. considering that our country does not have a cybersecurity law, a document that is available in Chile.
