Scania Mexico delivered the first three of 16 P460 units to KENSA Logistics in Puebla , a move that strengthens the relationship between the two companies at a challenging time for the industry.

The vehicles, designed as carriers for automotive transport, incorporate bodies from Jaes , a company that produces 65% of its energy sustainably and uses fossil-free steel in its manufacturing process, Scania reported in a statement.

The purchase also includes hydraulic system pistons made from recycled aluminum, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to efficiency and sustainability, the document explained.

This step comes in a pressured market. According to figures from the National Association of Bus, Truck, and Tractor-Trailer Producers (ANPACT) , wholesale sales of heavy vehicles totaled 2,348 units in August 2025 , representing a 62.5% drop compared to the same month last year.

While  retail sales closed the eighth month of the year with 3,356 units,  37.9% less than a year earlier , and accumulated 27,282 in the first eight months, which represented a  decrease of 26.5% , according to the  Mexican Association of Automobile Dealers (AMDA) .

In this context, operations such as those of Scania and KENSA represent signs of confidence in fleet renewal and the adoption of cleaner technologies.
