Here, we talk and learn from logistician to logistician. A group of experienced logistics executives has launched an online learning platform ( e-learning ) with the goal of sharing success stories, as well as failures, bad practices, and mistakes that also serve as “good” lessons.

Supply Chain Cracks , the name of the professional and business development platform, is a project founded by professionals Alejandro Hernández, Daniel Razo, Ricardo Pérez and Sandra Aragonez , who have been developing it for just over a year as a boost towards logistics talent.

Ricardo Pérez, current director of Supply Chain and E-commerce in Latin America for Sally Beauty , indicated in a press conference that there are at least 250,000 logistics executives in Mexico , most of them working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a strong need to establish more rigorous processes in their businesses.

“The platform has an easy and intuitive navigation,” according to Pérez, who explained that it offers courses of up to 60 minutes, specialized coaching , and on-demand mentoring.

The online courses currently offered include: From Error to Learning; Supply Chain Risk Management; China-Mexico Maritime Imports; Frictionless S&OP: How to Align Your Business and Boost Results; Last Mile: Everything You Need to Know for Success; How to Optimize Operations with a Logistics Operator; Supply Chain Efficiency at Every Stage; Negotiation Strategies in a Changing Logistics Environment; and How to Implement IBP: The Practical Guide You’ve Been Waiting For.

For Alejandro Hernández, a logistics executive who has participated in companies such as Sony , Shasa , Bimbo , Chevron Oil , among others, he said that a great differentiator of the platform is precisely sharing the stories of failures or bad practices that occur in the sector , so that those interested in the course have the opportunity to avoid these mistakes that others have gone through.

“We want to populate our entire platform with experiences,” he said.

Daniel Razo, current Supply Chain Director at Someone Somewhere , argued that at least in Mexico there aren’t as many platforms like this one in the logistics niche , which opens up a wide opportunity for them to capture a large slice of the market.

The Supply Chain Cracks platform aims to integrate more logistics professionals in the future, allowing it to offer a broader range of topics and case studies .
