<p><span dir="auto">The restoration of Middle Eastern networks and strong performance in North America primarily drove </span><strong><span dir="auto">an 8.5% growth in global air cargo</span></strong><span dir="auto"> during June 2026 compared to the same month in 2025.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">According to the </span><a href="https://www.iata.org/"><span dir="auto">International Air Transport Association (IATA),</span></a><span dir="auto"> during that period capacity —measured in available cargo tonnes per kilometer (ACTK)— increased by 4.4% year-on-year (4.9% in international operations).</span></p>
<blockquote><p><span dir="auto">“Demand growth outpaced capacity globally and in all regions except Latin America and the Caribbean. The acceleration in demand also outpaced the growth of global trade, driven by high-value technology products and urgent shipments,” IATA explained.</span></p></blockquote>
<p><span dir="auto">According to IATA, </span><strong><span dir="auto">North American airlines saw a 13.1% year-on-year increase</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , while capacity rose 6.2% year-on-year.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Meanwhile, </span><strong><span dir="auto">airlines in Latin America and the Caribbean saw a 3.5% increase in June 2026</span></strong><span dir="auto"> , the weakest performance globally. Capacity increased 9.8% year-on-year.</span></p>
<p><span dir="auto">Those in Asia-Pacific increased 7.9% year-on-year and capacity rose 4.3% year-on-year.</span></p>
