TIJUANA, BC – The asphalt once again became a test of precision, concentration, and pride. During an intense day, Tijuana brought together drivers, families, companies, and authorities around a common goal: to recognize the talent of those who keep Mexican trucking moving every day .

The fifth edition of MT Mexico Northwest brought together 62 Sleeper Cab category operators , who tested their driving skills in front of hundreds of attendees who, from early on, filled the stands with cheers, applause and the support of their families.

Beyond the stopwatch, MT Mexico has found in Tijuana a strategic location to promote the professionalization and empowerment of truck drivers . After Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, the city where the project originated in 2020, the northern border city has solidified its position as the second location in the national circuit, a choice that reflects the importance of trucking in trade between Mexico and the United States.

During the opening ceremony, the mayor of Tijuana, Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado , highlighted the importance of trucking as a strategic activity for the economic development of the region and acknowledged that competitions like MT México strengthen the professionalization of those who daily transport the goods that supply the country.

Winners of MT Tijuana

After more than eight hours of competition, the winners of the MT Mexico Northwest 2026 were determined :

First place: José Manuel Domínguez , from Express Service Transport (EST) , with a time of 1 minute, 47 seconds and 3 thousandths.

Second place: Juan Manuel Del Val , from Del Val Trucking, with 1 minute, 48 seconds and 19 thousandths

Third place: Mario Quijada , from Transmex , with 1 minute, 53 seconds and 5 thousandths.

In addition to the podium finish, the following operators also earned their place in the MT Mexico 2027 National Final , which will be held in Tampico, Tamaulipas:

Fourth place: Bernardo Hernández , from Transmex, with a time of 1 minute, 55 seconds and 59 thousandths.

Fifth place: José Ángel Avilés , from JA Logistics, with 1 minute, 56 seconds and 99 thousandths.

Sixth place: Gerardo Sánchez Rivera , from Agramont , with a time of 2 minutes, 2 seconds and 73 thousandths.

In this way, the six best times in the competition will represent Tijuana in the MT Mexico 2027 National Final .

Alfonso Millán , delegate of the National Chamber of Freight Transportation (Canacar) in Tijuana, highlighted that the event has become a tradition for the city and thanked the sponsors, companies and families for their support.

“Thanks to all the sponsors who make this event possible… it continues to focus on families. Seeing the operators here with their wives and children, this has been the fifth edition of MT Noroeste 2026, as is already a tradition in the city,” he emphasized.

Similarly, Mario Saldívar , general director of MT Mexico , stated that the competition represents much more than a test drive, becoming a space where the industry demonstrates unity and support for the operators.

“Today it was shown that it is necessary to show unity and also joy, have faith in those who also have faith in you,” he emphasized.

Classic tractor-trailer trucks also had a special place at MT Tijuana 2026. More than just an exhibit, these vehicles paid tribute to the history of freight transport and to the generations of operators and companies that, through their work, have contributed to building one of the most important industries for the country’s economy.

In addition to the track competition, the Paradero once again proved to be one of the most popular spaces at the event. Entire families, children, drivers, and company representatives mingled throughout the day in an atmosphere where cheers, photos, and conversations made MT México a celebration for the entire trucking community.

The industry was also well represented with the participation of over 30 brands , which offered exhibits and interactive experiences for attendees. Adding to the excitement was the performance by the group Mecánicos en Acción (Mechanics in Action) , which captivated the audience with the live assembly of an engine—a demonstration that drew dozens of people around each part until the assembly was complete.

With each edition, MT Mexico continues to expand its reach as a platform that recognizes talent behind the wheel. In Tijuana, the competition once again demonstrated that precision on the track is also a reflection of the preparation, experience, and commitment that thousands of drivers bring to the country’s roads every day.

El cargo MT Northwest Tijuana 2026: skill, industry and pride on wheels apareció primero en T21.

TAMPICO, TAMPS.- After five years since its inception, 16 events in four locations and more than 1,300 operators who participated on various occasions, MT Mexico celebrated its first national final, where the winners of the 2024 and 2025 editions were part of the lineup .

The MT Mexico national final brought together not only the finalist operators, but also executives and owners of transport companies, who spared no effort in giving this competition the value it deserves. From now on, it will be held annually, and there is a strong possibility that Tampico will remain the host city for this event.

“We know they come from a great circuit, where the operators have demonstrated their skills and abilities, and today we have the finalists, the best who will hold the top spots at the national level… we make a commitment to improve the conditions of the fairgrounds so that in 2027 we can give them better service than this year,” anticipated Mónica Villarreal, municipal president of Tampico .

Founded in 2020 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas , MT México was created with the objective of recognizing the important work carried out by truck drivers, but also of linking families with the work of their husbands, fathers, sons, uncles and all kinds of relatives.

Nuevo Laredo was joined by Tijuana, Allende (Nuevo León) and Córdoba-Orizaba, which had representation in the grand final of MT Mexico, which called for 37 operators to participate in the Sleeper Cab, Double articulated and Cab Over categories.

In a single day of competition, the best times were tested in the three different categories, from which the top places were obtained, which served to reaffirm the excitement of victory, the adrenaline of the competition and the overflowing cheers encouraging the participants.

Among the supporters in the stands , from the stands or even from the bars that separated the track, were not only family members, but also co-workers, direct bosses or the CEOs or owners of the transport companies themselves, encouraging their own, which confirmed the objective of this competition .

El cargo MT Mexico national final: reaffirms its path of recognition and value to operators apareció primero en T21.

After five years of competition and 15 editions of the MT Mexico event in various locations throughout the country, the first national final will be held on January 31, 2026, where operators from the transport companies that won in the various categories during 2024 and 2025 in the four regions will compete

The MT Mexico national final will feature 50 operators from the four regions: Northwest (Tijuana), Northeast (Allende), Border (Nuevo Laredo) and Gulf-Central (Orizaba).

The final of the largest fifth-wheel tractor-trailer maneuvering competition in America will take place in Tampico, Tamaulipas, at the ExpoTampico Convention Center.

The final will be held in three categories and the operators will compete as follows: nine in double articulated (Full), 18 in Cab Over (flatbed) and 23 in Sleeper Cab.

In the Full category, the first competitor will be Hilario Ramírez Hernández, from Transportes Bueno , while the last place of participation is held by Víctor Manuel Gámez Escalante, from Fletes Marroquin.

In Cab Over, Óscar Mota Aguilar, from Transportes GASA, will start, and Luis Alfredo Beltrán León, from Autotransportes Pilot , obtained 18th place .

Meanwhile, for Sleeper Cab, the winning operators of Day Cab are integrated, so Hugo Niño Bustos, from Palos Garza, will open the competition, and this category will end with Milton Tonatihu Rodríguez Cogordan from Auto Express Nor y Caribe, a Zinergia company .

At the MT Mexico final, various activities will take place: the MT Stop, MT Kids, Grill area, live music, the classic tractor exhibition, Mechanics in Action which on this occasion will consist of two engines to assemble.

The MT Mexico grand final is presented by the National Chamber of Freight Transportation (Canacar) , the Nuevo Laredo Freight Services Center (CenSeCar) , CenSeCar Nuevo León and the government of Tampico .

El cargo MT Mexico Final, How many competitors and what will the starting grid be? apareció primero en T21.

In its fourth edition, the MT Noroeste Tijuana , which will take place on June 28 and 29 , will invite 90 operators to participate in the various categories , in addition to 10 executives who will be part of the “Directors’ Hit.”

For the 2025 edition, the MT Noroeste Tijuana expects more than seven thousand visitors , who will witness the 90 operators who will seek to be the winners in the Sleeper Cab and Cab Over categories.

The prize pool to be distributed will be 200,000 pesos , with 50,000 pesos awarded to the first place in each category, 30,000 pesos for second place, and 20,000 pesos for third place.

At the press conference to present MT Noroeste Tijuana, historic moments of this edition were revealed, such as the fact that in 2022 it was the first time that a woman participated , Yenitzia Villalobos from Transportes de Carga Santa Lucía .

This event is where the MT Paradero originated, now featured at every edition of the MT. In 2023, Eric Daniel Monroy López was the youngest winner in the Sleeper Cab category at 23 years old.

Israel Delgado, vice president of the Northwest Region of the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) , acknowledged that this event has become a regional festival, “it is held in Tijuana, but it covers Sonora, Baja California and Baja California Sur because the objective is for it to be a regional fair with the participation of each of the delegations.”

For the Canacar delegate in Tijuana, Alfonso Millán, the role of sponsors is fundamental, “without them this event would not work , I am excited about the fourth year and increasing its number of visitors, investment, and expectations that have already transcended being a traditional event for transporters (…) and I am sure that in 2025 we will break the visitor record.”

Regarding the new features, Mario Saldívar, general manager of MT México, explained that the maneuvering lane has been modified. “We made a substantial change to the lane, changing the maneuvering lane to minimize any risk to attendees, from a ‘T’ to an ‘H’, with a speed limit of 25 km/h,” he explained.

In addition, the bus stop has been modified to a 5×5 area, and there will also be a Kids’ area, and, as was the case with the MT Noreste Allende, the engine assembly will be presented.

The general director of MT Mexico stated that the engine assembly is a space to recognize the companies’ mechanics for their important work within the trucking industry.

According to Ismael Reyes, Canacar’s delegate in Mexicali, the event has been a huge success in the region, and the goal is now to expand the participation of more companies based in other cities.

Lisete Pérez, from the MT Noroeste Tijuana Organizing Committee, sent a message to encourage more truckers, saying, “This should be our new ‘Truck Driver’s Day’ celebration in the city , as it’s an event that excites participating operators.”

El cargo MT Tijuana will host 100 participants; new activities are being added. apareció primero en T21.

ALLENDE, NL.- Adrenaline was at its peak! Steering control, controlled speed and precision were the stars of the fourth edition of MT Allende, a heavy vehicle maneuvering contest promoted by MT Mexico , which broke its record in history, with the participation of 129 operators and the attendance of approximately nine thousand people, in two days of competition.

The starting flag was raised by Viviana Ramírez Chávez , operator of Super Transporte Internacional (STI México) , who officially opened the competition aboard her truck.

Record times, precision on the track and skill in commanding huge units defined this year’s winners. There were three categories and first, second and third place were chosen for each one.

• Sleeper Cab Category:

The clock stopped and the audience burst into applause. The reason? Operator Víctor Hugo Barrientos, from ALA Transportes , was crowned the best in the Sleeper Cab category , leaving behind Jonathan González from Grupo 3T and César Moreno, also from ALA.

• Cab Over Category:

The competition in the Cab Over category was decided by thousandths of a second. Juan Martínez, from 3T , took home the gold steering wheel. Félix Rubén ( Nor y Caribe ) and Juan Manuel Moreno ( Transportes Urgentes ) followed him on the podium, receiving the silver and bronze steering wheels, as well as cash prizes.

• Full Category:

Amid shouts of support and banners, Deyron Isaí Chávez , from Autolíneas Cavazos Garza y ​​Hermanos ( ALCA) , reached the finish line, taking home the golden steering wheel and 50 thousand pesos . At just 23 years old , he became the star of the competition.

“My motivation is to grow professionally and economically. I always strive to be the best,” Deyron told T21.

Meanwhile, Carlos Guerrero of HCarga Super Expres , obtained second place and Ricardo Valdez, of ALCA, third place.

Beyond the competition, MT Allende 2025 paid tribute to three transportation legends:

Don Pablo Martínez Montemayor (posthumous tribute), who left an indelible mark on the transport industry, for his legacy; and José Antonio Cavazos , for his exemplary career in the motor transport industry.

Another of those honored was Rusbel Baldemar Rodríguez , who at 95 years old and with more than 70 years of experience advised operators to take care of their health, be responsible and grow as people to prosper in the profession.

Mechanics: heroes behind every kilometer

This year, MT Allende also recognized the work of mechanics , who ensure that each unit reaches its destination.

In an unprecedented competition, teams from Conalep and various companies participated in a challenge to assemble an engine from scratch. As the tools clanked and the pieces fit together, attendees watched in amazement at the skill of these specialists.

The winners, led by Alejandro Salazar Lomonia, Jesús Francisco Pérez and Javier Martínez Flores , were applauded on the main track.

“Without them, operators would not be able to do their job. This recognition was more than necessary,” said Mario Saldivar , director of MT Mexico and   Posdata MX .

Leaders also take the lead

Some directors of transport companies took the wheel on an exhibition tour. Heriberto Cárdenas , from HCarga , was one of the most applauded for his skill in maneuvering the tractor-trailer.

Companies such as Altamira Cargo Logistics , Express San Javier , Fletes Rodríguez e Hijos , Grupo 3T and  Zinergia , among others, participated in this exhibition that made it clear that leadership in transportation is also demonstrated on the road.

In addition, the classics route at MT Allende 2025 was a trip to the past, where imposing historic tractor-trailers rolled around the track, recalling the evolution and legacy of transportation.

MT Allende 2025 made it clear that the trucking sector not only moves cargo, but also causes that matter. During the event, 100 thousand pesos in donations were given to a Casa Hogar  and the Posada Hogar San Pedro Asylum , a gesture that reflects the solidarity and commitment of the union to those who need it most.

The event was supported by more than 50 sponsors , including: Scania Mexico , Difrenosa , Zinergia, 3T, Ramiro Semi Remolques , among others.

The Paradero: the soul of MT Allende

Beyond the competition, El Paradero became the meeting point where sponsors, operators and attendees lived together in an atmosphere of camaraderie. Music, gastronomy and exhibitions made this space an epicenter of transport culture.

El cargo MT Allende 2025! Precision, skill and passion behind the wheel apareció primero en T21.

Tracto Clásicos de Nuevo León has gone beyond the territoriality of this entity in the north of the country to promote the importance of auto transport in the national economy through the route of classic tractor trucks that have been in various states of the country , and also beyond the borders, such as in Las Vegas, United States, last year.

For the work carried out to preserve the history of this activity and prior to Nuevo León Transport Day, which is commemorated on March 12, Tracto Clásico received recognition from the State Congress.

This recognition was promoted by Representative Aile Tamez De la Paz, who highlighted that Nuevo León has historically been an industrial and commercial pillar in Mexico.

“Factories, companies and businesses, regardless of their type, depend on a key link every day, which, although sometimes or almost always invisible, for many, supports the constant flow of products, supplies and materials that drive the economy, such as freight transport,” said the congresswoman.

Aile Tamez emphasized the role of trucking in Nuevo León and in particular the municipality of Allende, “it is known as the cradle and capital of cargo transportation in Mexico, this distinction is not a coincidence; it is the fruit of the tireless work of generations of transporters who have forged a legacy of professionalism and pride . ”

In the legislator’s view, it is important to rescue the memory of cargo transportation, through the exhibition of classic trucks, the documentation of its evolution and, above all, its altruistic activities throughout the municipality of Allende.

In addition to preserving history, Tracto Clásicos promotes the creation of public policies that strengthen road safety, reduce the corruption faced every day, and value and raise awareness of the importance of freight transport.

Congress President Lorena de la Garza said that Nuevo León is the industrial heart of Mexico, but its mobility is a bottleneck that hinders its potential.

“Our transporters experience it firsthand: hours lost in traffic, saturated access to industrial parks, and roads that have not grown at the same pace as the state. We cannot allow the lack of mobility solutions to continue affecting those who make it possible for the economy to continue moving forward,” said De la Garza.

In her view, the State Congress has assumed the responsibility of promoting real solutions. “We need a mobility policy that guarantees modern roads, efficient infrastructure and better planning for urban growth. We cannot think of a more competitive Nuevo León without guaranteeing agile and safe roads for freight transport and for all citizens,” said the deputy.

Tracto Clásicos has carried out various activities in addition to Allende, NL., it has been present in Mazatlán, Sin; Veracruz, Ver., Mérida, Yuc. , and in 2024 they transcended borders by arriving at an exhibition of classic tractor trucks in Las Vegas.

ALLENDE, Nuevo León. – It was December 2020, in a unique environment where the first edition of MT Mexico had to be held without public attendance and only with operators and representatives of competing companies. It was a time marked by the COVID-19 pandemic that prevented this operator maneuver competition from reaching its potential.

Time has passed and so has the return to normality, and it is in this context where MT Mexico gave itself the opportunity to consolidate more headquarters in addition to the original one where the concept arose in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas .

Mario Saldivar, general director of MT Mexico and Posdata MX , organizer of the event, announced the formation of the new venues, which also include the national final, and where this has been the result of the support of various organizations such as the Central de Servicios de Carga de (Censecar) Nuevo Laredo , Censecar Nuevo León , the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) , the Union of Transporters of Allende (UTA) and Tracto Clásicos de Allende , in addition to the efforts of sponsoring companies.

El cargo MT Mexico presents series for 2025; announces national final apareció primero en T21.

ORIZABA, VER. – The expectations of the organizers were not even close to achieving the results obtained with the first edition of the MT Golfo-Centro-Orizaba , where for two days the stands, the sponsor exhibition area and the stop where the transport companies were installed, were maintained with a constant flow of visitors.

The cheers and harangues in favor of the operators, the companies and even the directors who participated in the knockout hit did not stop, despite the fact that the sun was beating down during the weekend.

The 27 companies participating in the categories of Double articulated (full), Sleeper Cab and Cab Over motivated the participation of nearly 90 operators, and as a particular topic, but in accordance with the characteristics of the region, in the MT Golfo-Centro-Orizaba the most popular category was the full one , this configuration being the predominant one in the region.

“Operators, remember that this was for you, for your families, for all those who accompanied you, for the people who are in the offices and who make sure that you are working. You came here to demonstrate your skills, but above all, you came to socialize and that is the fundamental part of the event,” said Francisco Cessa, vice president of the Association of Cargo Transporters of the Central Zone of the State of Veracruz (Atccevac) , who with this speech raised the applause of all the attendees.

Based on the versions shared by the members of Atccevac and the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) Córdoba-Orizaba region , during his participation in the opening ceremony of the event, the mayor of Orizaba, Juan Manuel Diez Francos, expressed his interest in maintaining the edition of the MT Golfo-Centro-Orizaba in the region.

José Carlos Gilibert, Canacar delegate in the Córdoba-Orizaba region, acknowledged the contribution of the sponsors, as well as the Posdata MX team, organizer of the event, which allowed all attendees to have a pleasant first contact with this event.

In this way, MT Mexico developed events in 2024 at its headquarters in Allende, Nuevo León; Tijuana, Baja California; Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas; and Orizaba, Veracruz.

The Gulf-Centro-Orizaba MT was the 12th edition of the MTs held in all venues.

El cargo MT México expands its reach with a new location in Orizaba to boost professionalization efforts. apareció primero en T21.

NUEVO LAREDO, TAMPS.- A few minutes before 5 p.m. local time, the MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo grandstand and the sponsor stands near the main stage were packed. Shouts, slogans, signs with messages for their operators, noisemakers and pom-poms were present.

In its fifth edition in Nuevo Laredo and with 11 events in conjunction with other venues such as Tijuana (Baja California) and Allende (Nuevo León), MT Mexico confirmed its objective of being an initiative to recognize the important work carried out by operators, but also with the desire to engage society in this activity.

On this occasion, 114 operators took to the starting grid in Nuevo Laredo, participating in the Sleeper Cab, Day Cab and Cab Over categories. During two days of qualifying competition, they competed to be “The Boss” of the 5th edition of MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo.

“We must congratulate the winners and the participants for all the adrenaline they generated for us,” said Eduardo Lozano, vice president of the Central de Servicios de Carga de Nuevo Laredo (CenSeCar), in a message at the awards ceremony.

The CenSeCar of Nuevo Laredo, together with the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) and the CenSeCar of Nuevo León , are the presenters of the event, which had the support of the municipality of Nuevo Laredo.

Well-deserved recognition

As part of the celebration of MT Mexico Frontera Nuevo Laredo, the opportunity was taken to recognize two businessmen from the region who passed away this year.

The first of the posthumous awards was for Felipe Gaytán Palomo, former CEO of Grupo STI, who passed away last June.

Felipe Gaytán was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the MT model , a task that led to the creation of a committee that was formed to make it possible to hold the first edition of this competition in December 2020.

The other recognized character was Jesús Quiroga, who founded Quiroga Trucking , and who also passed away in 2024.

El cargo MT México “Accelerates” Family Engagement and Recognition for Operators apareció primero en T21.

MT Mexico is expanding its areas of influence and is adding Orizaba, Veracruz, to the most important fifth-wheel tractor competition held in Mexico. On November 9 and 10, a total of 100 operators will meet at the City of Sports in the city .

The MT Orizaba competition will be divided into three categories, in which 40 operators will participate in Sleeper Cab, 40 in Double Articulated and 20 for Cab Over . As in the last editions, the MT Orizaba will have a selection of directors in which 10 businessmen of the freight transport of the region will compete.

With this addition, MT will have influence in the southeastern region of the country, an area with significant commercial dynamism due to the influence of the port of Veracruz, the third most dynamic in the country due to its connectivity with the main ports of the United States, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

In this way, MT Mexico will have four locations: Nuevo Laredo, Tijuana, Allende and Orizaba; each considered a key region for the country’s cargo transportation . With the upcoming competition in Orizaba, the 12th edition of the largest fifth-wheel tractor truck operator maneuvering competition in Mexico, which began operations in 2020, will be totaled.

José Carlos Gilibert, delegate of the National Chamber of Cargo Transportation (Canacar) in Córdoba-Orizaba, explained that the MT Orizaba edition was the result of a negotiation that began at the beginning of the year. “The idea is for citizens to interact closely with the cargo transportation sector and to be in contact with the activities of the sector, so that a brotherhood is formed between citizens and transporters,” he commented.

For the MT Orizaba edition, registrations will be accepted from operators who are active in transportation companies in Veracruz, Puebla, Tabasco and the State of Mexico. Registration will be open between September 6 and October 14 and the draw will be held on October 17 on MT Mexico’s social networks.

Since its creation in 2020 until May 2024, 844 operators have participated, of which 30 have been women . In these four years, 379 transport companies have trusted the project and have contributed operator talent in each edition.

Throughout its history, MT Mexico has promoted visibility and dignified the work of freight transport operators in the country, in addition to fostering a sense of belonging, and seeks to have society recognize the value of freight transport and its influence on the national and international economy. In addition, it has opened the opportunity for women who are also dedicated to this profession to have a space that provides equal conditions to demonstrate their skills.

“The participation of women is very important in all areas of transportation. We currently have female operators who are contributing significantly to the family income. On the other hand, we also have women in management positions and in administrative areas,” explained Miguelina López Hernández, Canacar delegate in Veracruz.

Plans for next year include a national competition, in which all venues will compete: Nuevo Laredo, Tijuana, Allende and Orizaba.
