Air Canada announced a new flight between Montreal and Guadalajara , and will also expand its capacity to Mexico by 18% with four high-demand destinations for Canadians and other international travelers.

By summer 2026, the airline plans to operate 10 daily flights from its three global hubs to five destinations in Mexico , representing 1,700 one-way daytime seats and an 18% increase in seat capacity compared to summer 2025.

“Air transport facilitates tourism, trade, and connectivity, and Mexico is part of Air Canada’s broader strategy for Latin America to enable fast and convenient connections for passengers and cargo through our Canadian gateways to our comprehensive network across six inhabited continents,” he emphasized. In addition to the new route, the airline will increase the Montreal-Cancun route to 11 weekly flights, while the Toronto-Monterrey route will have four weekly flights. Vancouver-Mexico City will increase from seven to 11 weekly flights, and Vancouver-Puerto Vallarta to two weekly flights.
